Völkl Phantastick FR Adjustable Ski Poles

The Phantastick FR Adjustable is a versatile freeride and touring pole that packs down when needed and extends for descents. Its 16 mm Titanal HF upper and 14 mm Titanal HF lower are joined by the Power Lock 3.0 system, with adjustment from 110 to 140 cm. A two-component grip and transparent lower grip zone provide multiple hand positions, while Vario powder baskets and tungsten-carbide flex tips suit soft snow and variable terrain.

Freeride Adjustment Range
The 110–140 cm range adapts the poles for traverses, climbs, descents, and compact transport.
Power Lock 3.0
A secure external locking system holds the selected length during use.
Dual Grip Zones
The two-component main grip and transparent lower zone allow both standard and choked-up hand positions.
Powder-Ready Hardware
Vario powder baskets and tungsten-carbide flex tips provide support in soft snow and purchase on firmer surfaces.

Dry After Use
Wipe snow and moisture from the shafts, grips, straps, baskets, tips, and adjustment hardware after skiing. Allow every component to air dry before storage.
Shaft Inspection
Inspect the shafts for cracks, deep impacts, bends, and damaged finishes. Replace poles with structural damage; do not continue skiing on a compromised shaft.
Grips and Straps
Clean grips gently with a damp cloth and inspect straps for fraying or damaged adjustment hardware. Keep the grip surface free of oils and allow damp straps to dry fully.
Baskets and Tips
Check that baskets are secure and not cracked or missing. Inspect tips for excessive wear or looseness, and replace worn components with compatible parts through a qualified retailer.
Adjustment Lock Care
Keep the Power Lock mechanism clean and free of ice and grit. Adjust within the marked range, close the lock firmly without excessive force, and never extend a section beyond its stop mark. Open and dry the adjustment system if moisture enters the shaft.
Storage
Store poles clean and dry in a cool place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy loads. Keep them where tips cannot cause injury or damage, and avoid prolonged pressure on the shafts.
