SpokeX Wheel Warranty
1. Lifetime Warranty: Original Owner
Every wheel we build is covered by a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. If a rim fails from a defect in materials or workmanship under normal riding conditions, we'll replace it at no cost. A flat $75 rebuild fee covers the labor to lace the new rim to your existing hub and spokes. You'll need your SpokeX order number or proof of purchase to make a claim.
2. Second Owner Program
Bought a SpokeX wheel secondhand? You're still covered. If a rim fails under normal riding conditions, second owners get the replacement rim at 50% off our current retail price, plus the $75 rebuild fee. Send us photos of the wheel and any information you have about the original purchase, and we'll take it from there.
3. What's Covered
- Rim cracks, including cracks at the spoke holes
- Rim seam separation
- Defects in the build: spoke tension, lacing, or truing problems that show up under normal use
4. Tire Pressure
Keep your warranty valid by staying within the maximum pressure printed on your rim, or the maximum listed on your tire's sidewall if that number is lower. This applies to both tubeless and tubed setups. Damage caused by overinflation isn't covered.
5. What's Not Covered
- Crash or impact damage, such as rock strikes, collisions, falls, or wheels run over or dropped off a rack
- Normal wear and tear, including brake track wear, bearing wear, freehub wear, and worn or damaged tubeless tape or valves
- Wheels that have been modified, rebuilt, or repaired by anyone other than SpokeX
- Improper installation, maintenance, or use outside the wheel's intended riding discipline
- Commercial, rental, or fleet use
- Custom finishes or cosmetic damage
If your wheel isn't covered, reach out anyway. We can still rebuild it with a new rim for the cost of the rim plus the $75 rebuild fee.
6. How to Submit a Claim
Email wheelhouse@spokex.com with:
- Your order number (original owners) or purchase details (second owners)
- Clear photos or video of the damage, including a close-up and a full shot of the wheel
- A short description of what happened
Some claims require you to ship the wheel to us for inspection. Approved warranty repairs and replacements are shipped back free to original owners within the continental US.
7. The Fine Print
Under this warranty, your remedy is repair or replacement of the defective rim or component with one of equal or greater value, as determined by SpokeX. If an exact replacement is no longer available, we'll substitute a comparable part. SpokeX is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our wheels, to the extent permitted by law. Some states don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
SpokeX may deny claims that appear fraudulent, abusive, or outside these terms. We may also ask for additional photos or information before approving a claim.
