Völkl Phantastick 18 mm Ski Poles

DescriptionKey FeaturesSpecificationsCare

The Phantastick 18 mm is a robust all-mountain and freeride pole built for skiers who prefer a stiffer, wider-diameter shaft. Its 18 mm 7075 aluminum construction withstands regular resort and powder use while providing a solid, direct feel. A non-slip two-component grip and adjustable strap keep the pole secure in hand, and the included Phantastick basket and crown steel tip cover a broad range of snow conditions.

Wide-Diameter Strength

The 18 mm shaft emphasizes stiffness and durability for all-mountain and freeride skiing.

7075 Aluminum Construction

High-strength aluminum provides a robust balance of weight and everyday resilience.

Secure Grip and Strap

A non-slip two-component handle and adjustable wrist strap support confident pole plants.

All-Mountain Components

The Phantastick basket and crown steel tip work across groomers, chopped snow, and powder.

Dry After Use

Wipe snow and moisture from the shafts, grips, straps, baskets, tips, and adjustment hardware after skiing. Allow every component to air dry before storage.

Shaft Inspection

Inspect the shafts for cracks, deep impacts, bends, and damaged finishes. Replace poles with structural damage; do not continue skiing on a compromised shaft.

Grips and Straps

Clean grips gently with a damp cloth and inspect straps for fraying or damaged adjustment hardware. Keep the grip surface free of oils and allow damp straps to dry fully.

Baskets and Tips

Check that baskets are secure and not cracked or missing. Inspect tips for excessive wear or looseness, and replace worn components with compatible parts through a qualified retailer.

Storage

Store poles clean and dry in a cool place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy loads. Keep them where tips cannot cause injury or damage, and avoid prolonged pressure on the shafts.
