DWR finish on body fabric
Cleaning
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash — full submersion damages the OPTIFIT™ suspension frame, Dyno Lift System™ hardware, foam back panel, and DWR coating on the 210D nylon body.
Drying
Air dry fully at room temperature before storage. Open the main compartment and the floating lid so interior mesh and hydration sleeve dry completely — trapped moisture leads to mildew and odor.
DWR Re-Proofing
When water no longer beads on the 210D nylon body (typically after heavy use or repeated wetting), re-treat with a spray-on DWR such as Nikwax TX Direct or Granger’s Performance Repel. Apply to the clean, damp pack and tumble dry low on a no-heat cycle or follow product-specific heat activation.
Storage
Store unpacked in a cool, dry place — never compressed in a stuff sack for long periods. Long-term compression deforms the OPTIFIT™ suspension, breaks down the cushy foam back panel, and weakens the molded hipbelt shape. Hang loosely or stand upright.
Hardware & Zippers
Periodically inspect the Dyno Lift System™ webbing, buckle, and ladder-lock adjusters for fraying. Clear zippers with a soft brush; do not force a stuck zipper — back it off and clear the coil. The whistle buckle on the sternum strap is a safety device — keep the buckle functional and free of debris.
Avoid
Bleach, harsh detergents, fabric softener, and dry cleaning — all strip the DWR finish and degrade the polyurethane coating on the 210D nylon. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight in storage (UV breaks down fabric + foam).

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
