Cleaning
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or harsh detergents which can damage the ripstop, the DWR treatment, and the down loft.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry or use a radiator — high heat clumps down and degrades the ripstop coating.
Outsole Care
Clear mud, gravel, and debris from the outsole with a stiff brush after outdoor use. The up-to-20% recycled rubber grips well on floors and porch surfaces.
Down Care
If the down loses loft after heavy use, tumble dry on low heat with 2–3 clean tennis balls to re-fluff the insulation. Persistent clumping means it's time to retire them for indoor-only use.
Storage
Store loosely in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid long-term compression in a stuff sack which crushes down loft and reduces warmth over time.
Heel & Pull Loops
Check the webbing pull loops at the heel and instep periodically. Clear debris from the stitching and re-seat the loops if they twist inside the channel during wear.
