Years of research and athlete feedback have gone into redesigning TNF's legendary Himalayan Suit. A staple on the world's highest peaks, this industry-leading suit is now more lightweight, thermally efficient, technologically advanced, and built specifically for women. Strategically placed FUTURELIGHT™ and Spectra® materials deliver targeted durability, a DWR finish sheds precip, and a combination of 900-fill ProDown™ and synthetic insulation provides maximum warmth on high-alpine expeditions. Designed to be highly packable, provide unrestricted mobility, and deliver secure storage — this is a mountaineering suit made for the most demanding summit push.
Regular Fit, Women-Specific
A regular fit with a women-specific design and fit balances warmth and mobility — the pattern is shaped for a woman's body, not scaled from a men's suit, so insulation mapping and baffle shaping are adjusted for the female form.
CLOUD DOWN Construction
CLOUD DOWN construction helps reduce cold spots and increase packability — engineered baffle shapes keep the down exactly where it needs to be for even thermal coverage without the bulk of standard box-baffle construction.
900-Fill ProDown™ with Hydrophobic Finish
900-fill ProDown™ is premium natural goose down enhanced with a hydrophobic finish — the water-repellent treatment allows the down to dry faster than untreated down if it gets wet, retaining loft and warmth in damp alpine conditions.
RDS-Certified ProDown™
ProDown™ is Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified by Control Union (CU 843098) — guarantees traceable, humane down sourcing from farm to finished product.
Zonal Stretch Synthetic Insulation
Targeted use of stretch synthetic insulation is coupled with a breathable lining in the collar, inner front placket, back panel, and inner thighs — delivers zonal temperature regulation where you sweat most and keeps the suit moving with you on technical terrain.
FUTURELIGHT™ with Spectra® Ripstop
FUTURELIGHT™ with Spectra® ripstop in the lower arms, seat, and lower legs delivers targeted weather and abrasion resistance — Spectra® is one of the world's strongest fibers, protecting the highest-wear zones from rope burn, ice tool swing, and crampon contact.
Helmet & Oxygen-Mask-Compatible Hood
An attached, fully adjustable hood is helmet- and oxygen-mask-compatible — fits cleanly over a climbing helmet and the bulk of an O₂ mask on 8000m-class summit pushes.
Asymmetrical Front-Zip Layout
Asymmetrical front-zip layout helps protect zips from oxygen-mask condensation and freezing — keeps the zip pull clear of the mask seal and channels moisture away from freezing points.
Reduced Front-Zip Length
Front-zip length is reduced for less bulk — minimizes the cold-air entry point and the weight penalty of a full-length expedition zip.
Double-Layer Asymmetrical Front Placket
A double-layer, asymmetrical front placket with two-way, reverse-coil zips and glove-compatible zipper pulls seals out wind and snow at the most exposed entry point — the two-way zips allow venting from the top or bottom.
Inner Placket Temperature Regulation
Stretch synthetic insulation and breathable lining on the inner placket help provide optimal temperature regulation — prevents the cold-spot that forms at the front zip and manages moisture when you're working hard on the climb.
Inner Front Placket Secure-Zip Pocket
A secure-zip pocket on the inner front placket holds a lip balm, energy gel, or radio — sits close to the body so contents stay warm and accessible under a pack or harness.
Two Large Internal Mesh Drop-In Pockets
Two large, internal mesh drop-in chest pockets hold water bottles, snacks, or a buff — sit high on the chest for instant access and let you dump heat through the mesh when you're working hard.
Self-Equalizing Vest-Suspension System
A self-equalizing, internal vest-suspension system with two side-release buckle closures is patterned and constructed to offer a better fit for women — lets you wear the suit unzipped and supported by the vest alone during high-output climbing without the suit sagging.
FLASHDRY™ Vest Construction
The internal vest is made with FLASHDRY™ materials that offer enhanced moisture management — pulls sweat off the base layer and pushes it to the surface, keeping the layer between you and the suit dry during sustained effort.
Vest Storage: 2 Secure-Zip + 2 Stretch-Mesh
The vest features two secure-zip pockets and two stretch-mesh pockets for carrying water bottles — gives you four reachable storage options on the climb without breaking into the main suit pockets.
Large Down-Insulated Hand Pockets
Large, secure-zip hand pockets with a down draft tube and internal insulation keep hands warm during belay sessions — the draft tube seals out wind at the zipper and internal insulation turns the pockets into functional warmers.
Full Rainbow Drop Seat
A full rainbow drop seat with a down draft tube and multiple zipper pulls allows easy access and venting — lets you answer nature's call without stripping the entire suit at altitude, and the multiple pulls let you operate it with gloves on.
Wrist Gaiters with FLASHDRY™
Internal wrist gaiters made with FLASHDRY™ materials seal in warmth at the wrists and keep snow out — the FLASHDRY™ manages moisture under the gaiter so your hands stay dry.

What's Included
In Box
1 × Women's Himalayan Suit (one-piece with integrated vest-suspension system + internal wrist gaiters)
This is a serious piece of expedition gear — treat the care accordingly. Always dry the suit thoroughly before packing to prevent mildew, coating degradation, and down clumping. If you have to pack it wet, set it up at home to dry fully as soon as possible.
Hand wash in cold water with a down-safe technical wash like Nikwax Down Wash or Granger's Down Wash — avoid regular detergent, which strips the natural oils from the 900-fill ProDown™ clusters, reduces loft, and can damage the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane and the Spectra® reinforcement fabric.
For the inner vest, hand wash separately with a mild technical wash (Nikwax Tech Wash) — the FLASHDRY™ treatment and elastane blend need gentler care than the main body.
Tumble dry on low heat with four or five clean tennis balls or dryer balls — the balls break up clumps in the 900-fill ProDown™ insulation and restore loft after washing. Drying thoroughly (often 3-4 cycles) is essential to keep the down performing at its best and prevent mildew.
Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener, and do not use dryer sheets — all three can coat the ProDown™ fibers, the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane, the Spectra® fibers, and the FLASHDRY™ treatment, degrading the loft, the weather resistance, and the moisture management.
Do not iron, do not dry clean, and do not wring the suit when wet — wringing can permanently mat the 900-fill ProDown™ and damage the FUTURELIGHT™ + Spectra® reinforcements and the wrist gaiter elastane.
Re-apply a non-PFC DWR spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) after several washes to refresh the water-shedding performance of all fabric layers.
Inspect the zippers (asymmetrical front, drop seat, all pockets) before each expedition — the asymmetrical front-zip and rainbow drop-seat are the most-stressed components and field repairs at altitude are difficult.
Store the suit uncompressed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area when not in use — long-term compression in a stuff sack can reduce the 900-fill ProDown™ loft and the CLOUD DOWN baffle structure, permanently reducing warmth.
Periodically air the suit outside on a dry, sunny day to keep the ProDown™ fresh and prevent moisture buildup in storage.
Send the suit to a professional cleaning service that specializes in expedition down gear if heavily soiled — the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane + Spectra® + 900-fill ProDown™ combination is too expensive to risk a home-wash mistake on.
