Women's Extreme Pile 2 Pullover
Women's Extreme Pile 2 Pullover
Fleece Pullover · Casual / Outdoor

The Women's Extreme Pile Pullover takes comfort to the edge—and then over. With a relaxed fit, 70% recycled high-pile fleece and an adjustable hem, you might find yourself welcoming the cold.

Extreme High-Pile Fleece
Extreme high-pile fleece construction — the 346 g/m² body fabric is a deep, dense fleece that traps a large volume of still air for warmth without the weight of a synthetic-insulated jacket; the pile texture has a luxurious hand-feel that gets softer with washing
Relaxed Fit
Relaxed fit through the body and sleeves — generous cut that layers easily over a base layer and allows unrestricted movement; the pullover silhouette and stand collar create a casual, easy-wear shape that's built for post-trail warmth, not technical performance
Stand Collar
Stand collar — the collar stands up on its own to seal warmth around the neck without a full zip; gives the pullover a more structured look than a crew-neck fleece while maintaining the simplicity of a half-zip pullover
Exposed Center Front Half Zip
Exposed center front half zip with an internal draft flap — the half-zip opening makes it easy to pull on and off over a base layer, and the internal draft flap blocks wind from infiltrating through the zipper when zipped up; the exposed zipper construction keeps weight minimal compared to a covered-zip design
Internal Drawcord Hem Adjustment
Internal drawcord with cord locks at the hem — lets you adjust the hem circumference from inside the jacket without opening layers; cord locks are easy to adjust with one hand while wearing gloves or mittens
Elastic-Bound Cuffs
Elastic-bound cuffs — the cuffs seal against the wrist to prevent wind and cold air from entering the sleeve, and the low-profile elastic lies flat against the arm without bunching under gloves or a shell sleeve
Secure-Zip Chest Pocket and Hand Pockets
Secure-zip chest pocket on the left chest and hand pockets — the chest pocket is sized for a phone, radio, or lift pass; the hand pockets are deep enough for cold hands or larger items, and the zippers keep contents secure during movement
Embroidered Logo
Embroidered logo on the chest pocket — more durable than a printed logo, won't crack or fade with washing; the chest placement is subtle compared to a front-body print
Fully Recycled Construction
Body made with 70% recycled polyester, overlay made with 100% recycled nylon, and all linings made with 100% recycled polyester — the fleece, pocket linings, and all trim are sourced from post-consumer recycled materials, diverting plastic from landfill
DWR Finish
Durable water-repellent finish on the outer fleece — the DWR treatment beads light rain and moisture off the fleece surface, preventing the fabric from saturating during drizzly conditions or light precipitation; not fully waterproof but adds meaningful weather resistance to a fleece piece

Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Turn the pullover inside out before washing — this protects the embroidered logo on the chest pocket from abrasion and reduces pilling on the outer face of the high-pile fleece. Use a mild technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger's Performance Wash — formulated for synthetic fleece, they clean the fabric without damaging the DWR finish. Do not use regular laundry detergent, fabric softener, bleach, or dry clean. Fabric softener coats the fleece fibers and reduces the loft and breathability. Do not iron.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat — the 346 g/m² high-pile fleece is heavy when wet and needs heat to fully dry and restore loft. A 30-40 minute tumble on low heat will dry the fleece completely and re-activate the DWR finish on the outer face. Do not line dry — line drying alone doesn't supply enough heat to restore fleece loft, and leaving damp fleece piled in a hamper promotes mildew. If line drying is the only option, tumble for at least 15 minutes on low heat afterward.
High-Pile Fleece Care
High-pile fleece (346 g/m²) is one of the most durable fleece constructions — the dense pile texture resists pilling better than lighter-weight fleece, but it will pill at high-friction zones (under pack straps, under arms) over time. Wash inside out to minimize external abrasion. Use a fabric shaver or sweater comb periodically to remove pilling — this restores the smooth outer appearance without damaging the underlying fibers. Pilling is a normal characteristic of fleece, not a defect; removing it regularly extends the garment's appearance life.
DWR Maintenance
The durable water-repellent finish on the outer fleece beads light rain and moisture. Tumble dry on low heat after each wash to re-activate the DWR — this is the single most effective maintenance step. When water stops beading on the fleece surface (soaks in rather than forming droplets), re-apply a spray-on DWR treatment such as Nikwax TX Direct Spray-On. Apply to the clean, damp pullover, focusing on high-wear areas: the shoulder, chest, and forearm zones. Then tumble dry on low heat to bond the treatment.
Drawcord Hem Care
The internal drawcord with cord locks at the hem adjusts the hem circumference from inside the jacket. Inspect the cord periodically — the cord can fray at the adjustment points where it exits the cord locks. If fraying is visible, replace the cord before it snaps. The cord locks are durable but can fill with lint or ice in wet conditions; clear with a needle or compressed air if they stop locking properly.
Zipper Care
The exposed center front half zip is lightweight but the zipper teeth and slider can accumulate lint, salt, and debris. Rinse the zipper with fresh water after exposure to saltwater — salt crystals can corrode the zipper teeth over time. If the zipper becomes sticky, a light application of Zeppa Zipper Lubricant or a silicone-based zipper wax restores smooth operation. Do not force the zipper — if it catches, work it back and forth gently rather than pulling hard.
Embroidered Logo Care
The embroidered logo on the chest pocket is durable but the polyester thread can be damaged by high heat. Wash inside out to protect the embroidery from abrasion. Do not iron directly over the embroidery — if ironing is needed, iron from the inside of the pullover and place a cloth between the iron and the embroidery. The embroidery will outlast any printed logo by years.
Storage (Off-Season)
Store clean and fully dry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Folding is preferred over hanging for heavyweight high-pile fleece — the 346 g/m² body is heavy enough to stretch out the shoulder seams if hung on a regular hanger for long periods. If hanging is the only option, use a wide padded hanger to distribute the weight. Cedar blocks or lavender sachets deter moths without leaving a strong scent on the fleece.
