Women’s Arctic Bomber
Women’s Arctic Bomber
Apparel · Outerwear / Insulated Bomber

As a new addition to our Arctic Parka line, the Women’s Arctic Bomber incorporates all the same warm, waterproof, breathable features, but in a slightly shorter silhouette. With 100% recycled DRYVENT™ body fabric, 600-fill recycled down insulation and ribbed cuffs and hem, this jacket has the city-ready aesthetics to tackle whatever winter throws your way.

DryVent™ 2L Waterproof Shell
Waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed DryVent™ 2L shell with non-PFC DWR finish — fully seam-sealed for full-storm protection, not just weather-resistant
600 Fill Recycled Down
600 fill 100% recycled waterfowl down delivers reliable cold-weather warmth with better loft and warmth-to-weight than synthetic alternatives
Faux-Fur Trimmed Hood
Attached, adjustable hood trimmed with a 660 g/m² faux-fur ruffle — deflects wind and snow around the face without using real fur
Dual-Entry Bellowed Hand Pockets
Bellowed (expandable) hand pockets with both a top secure-zip entry and a side-entry flap for versatile storage — sized for gloves, a phone, or mittens
Stormflap with Snap Closure
Stormflap with a snap closure covers the VISLON® center front zip — adds a second layer of weather protection and prevents the zip from flapping in wind
Ribbed Cuffs and Hem
Rib-knit cuffs and hem (75D × 140D 522 g/m² 92% polyester, 8% elastane) — bomber-style ribbed finish that seals out cold air at the wrists and holds the fit at the waist
Brushed-Tricot Facing Lining
146 g/m² 100% recycled polyester brushed-tricot facing lining at the collar and inner placket for next-to-skin softness when zipped all the way up
Recycled Materials Throughout
Body fabric 100% recycled polyester, body lining 100% recycled, pocket lining 100% recycled taffeta, and 100% recycled waterfowl down — full-circle sustainability story
Relaxed Fit
Casual, relaxed cut that layers cleanly over a sweater or hoodie and accommodates city-wear bulk without binding
Heat-Transfer Logo
Tonal heat-transfer logo on the left chest and back-right shoulder

Sustainability

Recycled Content
Body 100% recycled polyester · Body lining 100% recycled · Pocket lining 100% recycled taffeta · Down 100% recycled waterfowl
PFC Status
Non-PFC DWR finish
Washing
Close all zippers and fasten the stormflap snaps before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle in a front-loading washer (top-loader agitators damage the down baffles and the DryVent™ 2L seam-seal tape). Use a technical down-specific wash such as Nikwax Down Wash or Granger’s Down Wash — regular household detergent strips the natural oils from the 600-fill recycled waterfowl down, degrades the DryVent™ 2L membrane, and degrades the non-PFC DWR finish on the 75D body fabric. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Do not dry clean (solvents destroy the DWR, the 8% elastane in the rib knit, and the down).
Faux-Fur Trim Care
The 660 g/m² faux-fur trim is acrylic/polyester/modacrylic — durable but not indestructible. Do not crush or compress the faux fur in the wash (a mesh laundry bag helps). After washing, gently shake the fur to restore the pile, then comb it out with a wide-tooth comb or pet brush while still damp. Air dry the fur flat — never use a dryer on the fur (heat mats + permanently flattens the fibers). The faux fur is removable on most TNF Arctic Parkas — check the inside of the hood trim for hook-and-loop attachment; if removable, take it off before washing to extend its life.
Drying
Tumble dry on low with 2–3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls — the balls are critical for breaking up clumps in the 600-fill recycled down and restoring loft. Drying can take 2–3 full cycles for a heavily-soaked jacket; the jacket is fully dry when no clumps remain and the fill is evenly distributed. High heat damages the recycled polyester face, the elastane in the rib knit, the VISLON® zip, and the heat-transfer logos — keep the dial low. If the faux-fur trim is attached, tumble dry with the fur OUTSIDE the dryer or remove it first.
DWR Re-Proofing
When water stops beading on the 75D DryVent™ 2L twill, re-treat with a spray-on DWR such as Nikwax TX Direct or Granger’s Performance Repel. Apply to the clean, damp jacket, paying extra attention to the shoulders (where backpack straps wear the DWR fastest), the upper back, and the cuff/hem area. Do not spray the faux-fur trim — DWR sprays can mat the synthetic pile. A short low-heat tumble helps set the finish.
Ribbed Cuffs & Hem
The 8% elastane in the rib knit delivers the stretch that seals the cuffs and hem — but elastane breaks down faster than polyester if exposed to high heat, chlorine, or harsh chemicals. Avoid hot tubs, chlorinated pools, and prolonged UV exposure on the ribbed areas. If the rib loses its snap-back stretch (cuffs sag, hem flares), the elastane is likely degraded and the rib knit needs replacement.
Zippers & Stormflap
The VISLON® center front zip is durable but the stormflap takes the brunt of zipper abuse. If a snap pops or the stormflap starts to pull away from the body fabric, a quick reinforcement stitch with polyester thread restores the seal. The VISLON® coil itself rarely fails — if it sticks, lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based zipper lubricant (Nikwax, GE Silicone II, or beeswax) and never force.
Storage (Off-Season)
Store clean, dry, and uncompressed in a cool, dark, dry place — ideally in a large cotton or mesh storage sack, or hanging loosely in a closet. Never store a down parka in a compression stuff sack for long periods — extended compression permanently damages the 600-fill recycled down. If possible, remove the faux-fur trim before long-term storage to prevent matting under the weight of the down fill. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades the DryVent™ 2L membrane, the non-PFC DWR, fades the recycled polyester face, and yellows the faux-fur fibers over time).
