Cleaning
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash in lukewarm water — do not machine wash or tumble dry. The carbonate-coated PU finish on the 420D recycled nylon main body, the 1500 mm PU coatings on the 600D sides and 1200D boot, and the PU-coated 200D recycled polyester lining can delaminate, peel, or wrinkle under machine agitation. Brush grit out of the elastic loop glove holder and the goggle pocket lining with a soft brush before they grind into the fabric.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature with all compartments unzipped and standing upright (or hung from the top grab handle) so airflow reaches all interior surfaces. Do not tumble dry — heat delaminates PU coatings and can melt the Whistleloc buckle. Do not place near radiators, fireplaces, or hot air vents.
Insulated Snack & Drink Compartment
The internal insulated compartment keeps snacks and beverages at the perfect temp — but spills in the insulation layer can stain and develop odor. Wipe any spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry fully. Confirm the compartment is dry before packing the pack for storage.
Fleece-Lined Goggle Pocket
The external fleece-lined goggle pocket protects lenses from scratches — keep the fleece clean by brushing out dust and grit with a soft brush. Avoid harsh detergents that can pill or mat the fleece fibers. Air dry the fleece completely before storing goggles.
Hydration Sleeve
The internal hydration sleeve is designed for a hydration bladder — remove the bladder between uses to allow the sleeve to air-dry. Clean the bladder and sleeve with warm water and a bladder-cleaning tablet periodically to prevent mold and mildew. Route the bladder tube through the hydration port on the shoulder strap.
Re-Proofing the PU Coatings & DWR
The 420D recycled nylon main body and the 600D / 1200D recycled polyester panels all carry a non-PFC DWR finish over PU coatings. When water no longer beads on the surface, reactivate with a PFC-free DWR spray treatment (do not apply directly to the PU coatings — re-apply on the outer fabric face). Avoid soaking or pressure-washing the pack.
Expandable Zipper Gusset
The zipper gusset allows the pack to expand from 22 to 26 liters — keep it clean (brush grit from the track) and lubricate periodically with a silicone-based zipper lubricant. Confirm the gusset zipper is fully closed before lifting the pack by the top grab handle.
Whistleloc Buckle & Webbing
The Whistleloc buckle on the sternum strap and the adjustable webbing hipbelt take repeated use — confirm the buckle still latches firmly and the whistle tone is audible before each season. Replace the sternum strap or hipbelt if the webbing frays. Don't over-extend the elastic loop on the shoulder strap beyond its stretch range.
Padded Back Panel & Shoulder Straps
The padded back panel and shoulder straps absorb sweat and sunscreen over time — wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry with the compartments open. Persistent odor can be neutralized by sprinkling baking soda on the padding, letting it sit overnight, then brushing it out.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Open the zipper gusset fully so the pack is not stored compressed — long-term compression weakens the 22L seam structure and the PU coatings. Hang from the top grab handle or lay flat. Confirm the insulated snack compartment is fully dry before storage.
