Men's Winter Warm Pro Jacket
Men's Winter Warm Pro Jacket
Insulated Jacket · Running / Trail

We've updated the Winter Warm collection with new materials, new features and an improved fit. The packable Men's Winter Warm Pro Jacket uses a 95% recycled fleece body fabric and a 100% recycled WINDWALL™ overlay for on-trail coverage. With body-mapped HEATSEEKER™ insulation and handwarmer pockets, cold weather won't get in the way of your miles.

Body-Mapped Heatseeker™ Eco Synthetic Insulation
Heatseeker™ Eco synthetic insulation with hollow-core fibers is body-mapped throughout the jacket — different insulation weights placed where the body generates the most heat and needs the most warmth (body and collar at 80g) versus areas that run cooler (upper sleeves at 60g); hollow-core fibers trap more air per gram than traditional solid synthetic fibers, delivering more warmth per ounce without adding weight
Windwall™ Overlay
Windwall™ overlay on the front of body and shoulders is rated at less than 10 CFM (cubic feet per minute) air permeability — blocks nearly all wind penetration while the grid-knit fleece backer maintains breathability; the Windwall™ face fabric is 50D 74 g/m² 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a non-PFC DWR finish that sheds light precipitation
95% Recycled Grid-Knit Fleece Body
Body fabric is 100D 216 g/m² 95% recycled polyester, 5% elastane grid-knit fleece — the grid construction creates low-friction channels on the inside face that move moisture vapor away from the skin faster than flat fleece, while the 5% elastane content gives the body fabric genuine four-way stretch for unrestricted running and movement
Slim Fit
Slim fit through the torso and arms — designed for high-output aerobic activity where a close-to-body cut minimizes fabric billow and wind resistance; works best as a standalone jacket in mild-cold conditions or as a midlayer under a hardshell in severe cold
Elastic-Bound Cuffs and Hem
Elastic-bound cuffs and hem — the hem seal keeps wind and light precipitation from infiltrating under the jacket at the waist, while the low-profile elastic cuffs lie flat against the wrist and layer cleanly under gloves or a shell sleeve
Exposed Reverse-Coil Center Front Zip
Exposed reverse-coil center front zip — the reverse-coil construction hides the zipper teeth from the exterior for a clean look and prevents the metal teeth from catching on base layers; the exposed style is lighter weight than a covered-zip construction
On-Seam Handwarmer Pockets + Power-Mesh Drop-In Pocket
On-seam handwarmer pockets with a power-mesh drop-in pocket on the right side — the on-seam hand pockets provide a place to warm hands between efforts, while the right-side power-mesh drop-in pocket (40D x 140D 105 g/m² 80% nylon, 20% elastane) is sized for a water bottle, phone, or nutrition and drains well in wet conditions
Secure-Zip Stowpocket on Left Side
Secure-zip stowpocket on the left side — the entire jacket packs into this pocket for compact storage on a harness, pack, or belt loop; a key clip inside the stowpocket keeps small items secure
Integrated Thumb Loops
Integrated thumb loops at the sleeve cuffs — the thumb loop keeps the sleeve from riding up when layering under a shell or when reaching overhead; the loop is flat-sewn to lie smooth against the arm when not in use
Reflective Details
Reflective heat transfer logo on left chest and back-right shoulder with reflective detail on the lower back — adds low-light visibility for early-morning or evening runs on roads and trails where headlamp use isn't practical
External Locker Loop
External locker loop at the back of the neckline — lets you hang the jacket on a hook, carabiner, or pack loop to dry between efforts; keeps the collar off the ground and maintains the jacket's loft overnight

Technology

Heatseeker™ Eco
TNF hollow-core synthetic insulation — more warmth per gram than solid synthetic, body-mapped in 80g/60g weights
Windwall™
Wind-resistant fabric technology; <10 CFM air permeability on front body and shoulders
DWR
Non-PFC durable water-repellent finish on Windwall™ overlay
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a mild technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger's Performance Wash — formulated for synthetic insulation garments, they clean the fleece, insulation, and DWR without damaging the heatseal baffles or seam tape. Do not use regular laundry detergent, fabric softener, bleach, or dry clean. Regular detergent leaves residue that coats the hollow-core insulation fibers and reduces loft and warmth over time. Do not iron.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat — synthetic insulation (even hollow-core) needs heat to restore loft after washing. A 30-40 minute tumble on low heat will fully dry the jacket and re-activate the DWR finish on the Windwall™ overlay. Do not line dry — line drying alone does not supply enough heat to restore insulation loft, and leaving synthetic insulation damp can cause the fibers to compress permanently and lose warmth.
Heatseeker™ Eco Insulation Care
Heatseeker™ Eco hollow-core fibers are more durable than down and resistant to moisture, but they can still lose loft if repeatedly compressed or exposed to high heat. Always tumble dry on low after washing to restore the hollow-core loft. The insulation is body-mapped at different weights (80g body/collar, 60g sleeves) — if you notice the body feels warmer than the sleeves after washing, this is the intentional design, not a defect. With proper care, synthetic insulation retains meaningful warmth for 300–500+ compressions.
Windwall™ Overlay Care
The Windwall™ overlay on the front body and shoulders is wind-resistant but not fully waterproof — the non-PFC DWR finish on the ripstop face sheds light precipitation but will wet out in sustained rain. If the overlay stops beading water, re-apply a spray-on DWR treatment (Nikwax TX Direct Spray-On or Granger's Performance Repel) and tumble dry on medium heat to bond it. Do not wash the overlay with heavy agitation — the ripstop weave is durable but repeated harsh washing can weaken the seam connections at the overlay/fleece interface.
Grid-Knit Fleece Body Care
The 95% recycled polyester / 5% elastane grid-knit fleece body is designed for moisture management during high-output activity. Wash inside out to protect the grid channels from external abrasion. The grid-knit construction is more resistant to pilling than traditional fleece but can still pill at high-friction zones (under pack straps, under arms). If pilling occurs, use a fabric shaver to restore the smooth face — this does not damage the fleece, it removes the worn fiber ends only.
Elastane Stretch Care
The 5% elastane content in the body fabric gives the jacket four-way stretch. Avoid high heat — elastane degrades with repeated heat exposure and will lose its stretch recovery over time. Never iron the body fabric. If the jacket starts to feel less stretchy or the fabric doesn't return to shape after being stretched, the elastane has been damaged by heat (from washing, drying, or storage).
Packing Into Stowpocket
The secure-zip stowpocket on the left side is designed for packing the entire jacket into itself. Ensure the jacket is clean and fully dry before packing — packing a damp jacket into the stowpocket traps moisture inside and causes the insulation to compress and mildew. The zipper on the stowpocket has a key clip inside; be sure the clip is not pressing against the jacket when you zip it closed, as this can cause localized stress on the insulation.
Thumb Loop Care
Integrated thumb loops are flat-sewn to lie smooth when not in use. Do not pull hard on the thumb loops — they are designed to hold the sleeve in place during activity, not to support the weight of the jacket. If a thumb loop seam opens, repair it with a small flat-felled stitch rather than leaving it — a loose thread can catch on pack buckles or trail debris.
Reflective Detail Care
The reflective heat transfer logos and details are printed directly onto the fabric — they are more durable than sewn-on reflective tape but can crack or peel if the jacket is subjected to heavy abrasion (e.g., dragging on the ground, repeated contact with rough surfaces). Avoid folding the jacket sharply along the reflective details — creasing the print can cause it to crack over time.
Storage (Off-Season)
Store clean and fully dry in a cool, dry place — hanging on a wide padded hanger is ideal to preserve the jacket's loft and shape. Do not compress in a stuff sack for long-term storage — synthetic insulation loses loft faster when stored compressed. If storing for the season, loosely fold the jacket and place it flat, or hang it. Do not leave in a hot car — elastane degradation and DWR damage occur above 50°C/122°F.
