Men’s Summit Series Tsirku GORE-TEX® Pro Jacket
Men’s Summit Series Tsirku GORE-TEX® Pro Jacket
Apparel · Outerwear / Summit Series Ski & Snowboard Shell

Built for the steepest lines, the Men’s Summit Series Tsirku GORE-TEX® Pro Jacket is the breathable, waterproof outer layer you’ll want to add to your winter kit. Now made from 91% recycled GORE-TEX® Pro 3L fabric with Spectra® ripstop for added durability, this performance-built snowsports jacket has an articulated fit, backpack-compatible pockets, underarm vents and an adjustable helmet-compatible hood.

GORE-TEX® Pro 3L Waterproof Shell
Durably waterproof GORE-TEX Pro 3L fabric with Spectra® ripstop for increased durability — GORE-TEX's top-tier membrane for serious mountaineering and backcountry use (vs. GORE-TEX Active for high-aerobic and GORE-TEX Infinium for windproof-only)
Spectra® Ripstop Reinforcement
Spectra® is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber — one of the world's strongest commercial fibers (used in body armor and sailing rope). Blended into the ripstop, it adds exceptional tear and abrasion resistance for the life of the jacket
Ski- & Snowboard-Helmet-Compatible Hood
Adjustable, partial-drop hood fits over a ski or snowboard helmet with a riveted cord-lock adjustment system — dials in a secure fit without restricting vision or peripheral hearing
Jacket-to-Pant Integration
Stretch-woven partial powder skirt with silicone gripper tape + a clip for jacket-to-pant integration with the Men’s Summit Tsirku GTX Pro Bib (sold separately) — creates a one-piece seal against snow entry on deep-powder days, no snow getting up the back
Two-Way #8 YKK® VISLON® CF Zip
Two-way, #8 YKK® VISLON® AquaGuard® center front zip with an internal draft flap — vent from the bottom (hip belt clearance + dumping heat on climbs) while keeping the top sealed against wind and rain
Brushed-Tricot Chin + Neck Overlay
Soft, brushed-tricot overlay at the chin and back of neck with laser-cut perforations for next-to-skin comfort — soft against the chin when zipped all the way up, the perforations add breathability to prevent moisture buildup
Underarm Vents with YKK® AquaGuard® FLATKNIT® Zips
Underarm vents use YKK® AquaGuard® FLATKNIT® zips — low-bulk, low-profile zips that lie flat against the body for venting without snagging under pack straps
Two Chest Pockets
Two chest pockets with exposed #5 YKK® AquaGuard® zips — left chest pocket features internal gear organization + cord routing for media/avalanche beacon/headphone cable management
Bellowed Alpine Pockets
Bellowed (expandable) alpine pockets with #5 YKK® AquaGuard® zips + internal mesh pouches for additional organization — sized for skins, a small camera, or snacks
Top-Entry Hand Pockets
Top-entry hand pockets with exposed #5 YKK® AquaGuard® zips — high-position pockets sit above a pack hipbelt, traditional top-entry design
Wrist Pocket with Goggle Wipe + Pass Pouch
Wrist pocket with #3 YKK® AquaGuard® zip, goggle wipe, and internal pass pouch — lift pass on one side, goggle wipe for quick lens cleaning on the other
Two Internal Mesh Drop-In Pockets
Two large internal mesh drop-in pockets — sized for goggles, spare gloves, or a hydration bladder; mesh lets moisture evaporate
Internal Hem Cinch-Cord
Internal hem cinch-cord with riveted cord locks at both sides for adjustability — secure the hem under a pack belt or harness, or loosen for venting on climbs
Adjustable Cuffs with Bonded Hook-and-Loop Tabs
Adjustable cuffs with bonded hook-and-loop tabs + integrated thumb loops — seal over or under gloves, thumb loops keep sleeves in place during high-output activity
Stepped Hem
Stepped hem for less bulk in front and optimal coverage in back — drops down in back for extra coverage when the jacket is worn without a pack
Non-PFC DWR Finish
Non-PFC durable water-repellent finish on the body fabric — water beads off the surface, the jacket doesn’t wet out, and the GORE-TEX Pro membrane doesn’t have to do all the waterproofing work

Body fabric 91% recycled polyester

Washing
Close all zippers (CF + all pocket zips) and fasten the powder-skirt snap before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors in a front-loading washer (top-loader agitators can damage the GORE-TEX® Pro 3L membrane and the Spectra® ripstop). Use a technical cleaner designed for GORE-TEX such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger’s Performance Wash — regular household detergent leaves residue that degrades the non-PFC DWR finish on the 75D × 75D 134 g/m² body and can clog the GORE-TEX Pro membrane’s pores. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Do not dry clean (solvents destroy the DWR + the Spectra® reinforcement + the 9% polyethylene blend).
Drying
Tumble dry on low to medium for 20–30 minutes after washing — the gentle heat reactivates the non-PFC DWR finish, restoring water beading and keeping the GORE-TEX Pro membrane from having to do all the waterproofing work. Higher heat reactivates DWR better but don’t overdo it — sustained high heat can damage the Spectra® ripstop, the brushed-tricot chin/neck overlay, the laser-cut perforations, the bonded hook-and-loop cuff tabs, the YKK® AquaGuard® FLATKNIT® underarm vent zips, and the integrated thumb loops. Hang dry is also fine if you tumble briefly afterward to restore water beading.
DWR Re-Proofing
When water stops beading on the 75D × 75D 134 g/m² GORE-TEX Pro body, re-treat with a spray-on DWR rated for GORE-TEX — Nikwax TX Direct or Granger’s Performance Repel are the right products. Apply to the clean, damp jacket, paying extra attention to the shoulders (where pack straps wear the DWR fastest), the hood, and the cuff area. A short low-heat tumble helps set the finish.
GORE-TEX® Pro Membrane Care
GORE-TEX Pro 3L is the most durable GORE-TEX tier — built for the most demanding conditions. Avoid folding or compressing the jacket tightly for long periods, which can crack the membrane. Store hanging or loosely folded. Don’t store wet, and don’t use harsh solvents, which destroy the membrane. With proper care, GORE-TEX Pro jackets last 5–10 years of regular backcountry use.
Spectra® Ripstop Care
Spectra® is one of the strongest commercial fibers in the world but isn’t indestructible. If a tear or hole appears (typical in extreme terrain), patch with a Spectra®-compatible adhesive patch (Tenacious Tape with Spectra® reinforcement works) or take to a professional repair service. Avoid grinding the jacket against sharp rock, ski edges, or crampon points — Spectra® is strong against tearing but not against abrasion over time.
Brushed-Tricot Chin Overlay Care
The soft brushed-tricot overlay at the chin and back of neck with laser-cut perforations is the comfort-feature most likely to wear with regular chin-rub contact. The perforations are precision-cut — don’t pick at them or stretch the fabric. If the overlay starts to pill with heavy wear, gently trim pills with small fabric scissors. Hand-wash the collar area more carefully than the rest of the jacket (small amount of mild soap + cool water + soft cloth) to extend the overlay’s life.
Jacket-to-Pant Integration
The jacket-to-pant integration clip is built to connect to the matching Men’s Summit Tsirku GTX Pro Bib (sold separately) — when paired, the two pieces connect and prevent snow from entering up the back. This integration is built to be unobtrusive; you don’t need to disconnect it to use the underarm vents or hem cinch, but be aware that the two pieces move as one when fully integrated. If you don’t have the matching bib, the integration clip folds flat and is unnoticeable.
Powder Skirt Care
The stretch-woven partial powder skirt with silicone gripper tape and the jacket-to-pant integration clip are the most common wear zones. Check the powder-skirt stitching and the clip rivets periodically — if the powder-skirt seam starts to lift (typical after years of heavy use), re-seal with seam-seal adhesive. The silicone gripper tape can lose tackiness over time; clean it with a damp cloth + mild soap to restore grip.
Suspension + Hardware
The jacket has multiple zippers (2-way #8 CF, 4 chest pockets with #5, 2 alpine pockets with #5, 2 top-entry hand pockets with #5, 1 wrist with #3, 2 internal drop-in) + the riveted cord-lock adjustment on the helmet hood + the riveted cord locks at the hem. Keep all zippers clean and lubricated with a silicone-based zipper lubricant (Nikwax, GE Silicone II, or beeswax) and never force a stuck zipper. Check the riveted cord locks periodically; if the rivet loosens, a qualified repair shop can re-rivet it. The integrated thumb loops at the cuffs are stitched into the cuff seam; if a thumb loop pulls loose, a quick hand-stitch with matching thread restores it.
Storage (Off-Season)
Store clean, dry, and uncompressed in a cool, dark, dry place — hang on a wide hanger or fold loosely. Never store the jacket in a compression stuff sack for long periods (the Tsirku doesn’t have one, but if you do) — extended compression cracks the GORE-TEX Pro membrane and degrades the non-PFC DWR. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades the GORE-TEX Pro membrane, the Spectra® ripstop, and fades the recycled polyester over time). Hang the hood loosely to prevent the riveted cord-lock adjustment from deforming.
System Care: Jacket + Bibs
If you own both the Men’s Summit Tsirku GORE-TEX Pro Jacket and the matching Men’s Summit Tsirku GTX Pro Bib (sold separately), treat them as a system — wash them together (the fabrics and DWR finishes match), dry them together, store them together. Don’t mix one-piece care with other-shell care; the specific Spectra® + GORE-TEX Pro combination deserves its own care routine. The jacket-to-pant integration clip will be most effective if both pieces are in matching condition.
