Cleaning
Machine wash cold (30 °C) on a gentle cycle with a mild, technical detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or stain remover — these clog the FUTURELIGHT™ membrane pores, strip the non-PFC DWR finish, and degrade the recycled nylon face fabric.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes or hang to dry. Low tumble heat reactivates the DWR finish on the FUTURELIGHT™ 3L shell; high heat can damage the nanospun membrane and the mesh gaiter panels.
Re-Proofing
The non-PFC DWR finish can be reactivated by tumble drying on low heat. When water no longer beads on the face fabric, apply a PFC-free DWR spray treatment and tumble dry low to bond.
Kickpatch & Hem
The 500D high-denier nylon kickpatches and hem binding take abuse from ski and snowboard edges. Brush off dirt after each use and inspect periodically for cuts or wear — they protect the lower-leg FUTURELIGHT™ 3L laminate.
Venting & Chimney System
The Chimney Venting™ system uses mesh-lined inner-thigh vents and mesh gaiter panels — keep them clear of debris. The outer-leg AquaGuard® zips extend to the waistband to create a drop seat for easy on/off and ventilation.
Zipper Care
The #5 YKK® AquaGuard® outer-leg vents, the #3 AquaGuard® hand pocket, and the two thigh-pocket zips need to be kept free of grit and salt. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush and rinse as needed. Lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based zipper lubricant if the pull becomes stiff.
Suspenders & Waist Belt
The hybrid-construction suspenders mount to the inner tab so you can use the drop-seat functionality without removing them. The low-profile waist belt uses a lightweight tension lock for single-handed operation — confirm the lock is fully tightened before skiing.
Drop Seat & Snap Closure
The snap-front closure and outer-leg zips enable full drop-seat functionality. Confirm all snaps are fastened before touring; do not force the zips beyond their stops — they’re built to extend to the waistband for on/off, not past.
Hem Gusset
The zippered outseam hem gusset with snap adjustment is designed for boot access and a secure fit over ski/snowboard boots. Confirm the gusset zipper is fully closed before each run to keep snow out.
Storage
Hang on a wide hanger by the waist belt or fold loosely. Avoid compressing the FUTURELIGHT™ 3L laminate for extended periods — folds can weaken the membrane over time.
