Men’s Mount Bre Jacket
Men’s Mount Bre Jacket
Apparel · Outerwear / Insulated Ski & Snowboard

A no-fuss, get-the-job-done kind of jacket, the Mount Bre hides some nice technical details under its understated hood. Firstly, there’s the two-layer stretch DryVent™ fabric technology. Then you’ve got body-mapped Heatseeker™ insulation. The result? You’ve got protection from wind, rain, snow and the cold, but you won’t get too hot on clear, sunny “blue-bird” days. Plus, the forgiving fabric ensures full freedom of movement. The hood is helmet-compatible; there’s a snap-away powder skirt; and there are internal pockets for your phone and your goggles. It’s made from recycled materials, too, making it better for nature.

DryVent™ 2L Waterproof Shell
Two-layer stretch DryVent™ is waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed, and finished with non-PFC DWR — keeps you dry inside and out
Body-Mapped HEATSEEKER™ Insulation
Hollow-core synthetic fibers deliver reliable warmth with excellent wet-weather performance; heavier fill in the body, lighter fill in the sleeves, hood, and collar to balance warmth and mobility
Helmet-Compatible Hood
Attached, fully adjustable hood fits over a ski or snowboard helmet without restricting vision or peripheral hearing
Snap-Away Powder Skirt
Built-in powder skirt with gripper elastic snaps out of the way when not in use, seals out snow on deep days
Brushed Inner Collar
Soft brushed tricot lines the inner collar and chin guard for next-to-skin comfort when zipped all the way up
Alpine Chest Pockets
Two alpine chest pockets with PU-coated, reverse-coil #5 zips sit high and clear of pack straps and harness webbing
Wrist Pocket with Goggle Wipe
Covered, secure-zip wrist pocket with a built-in goggle wipe — quick lens cleaning on the lift line
Internal Storage
Internal secure-zip chest pocket for phone/wallet, plus a large internal mesh drop-in pocket sized for goggles or spare gloves
Secure Hand Pockets
Covered, secure-zip hand pockets keep contents sealed in driving snow
Underarm Venting
Pit-zip underarm vents release heat quickly on the boot-pack or on bluebird skin tracks
Adjustable Cuffs
Hook-and-loop cuff tabs seal over or under gloves to keep snow and wind out
Adjustable Hem
Internal hem cinch-cord with two-point adjustment; cinch-cord ends exit into the hand pockets for on-the-fly tightening
Embossed Logo Lining
Tonal embossed logo on the interior lining
Ticket-Attachment Loop
Small loop on the front-right hem for clipping a lift ticket or pass

Sustainability

Recycled Content
Body 94% recycled polyester · Lining 100% recycled · Insulation 70% post-consumer recycled
PFC Status
Non-PFC DWR finish (body + lining)
Washing
Close all zippers and fasten the powder-skirt snaps before washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use a technical cleaner such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Granger’s Performance Wash to maintain the non-PFC DWR finish on the body fabric, the body lining, and the DryVent™ 2L membrane — regular household detergent leaves residue that degrades the DWR and can clog the membrane’s pores. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. Do not dry clean (solvents destroy the DWR, the elastane stretch, and the HEATSEEKER™ insulation loft).
Drying
Tumble dry on low to reactivate the DWR finish. A short 10–15 minute low-heat cycle is usually enough — long high-heat cycles can damage the elastane stretch, the brushed tricot collar lining, and the polyurethane coating on the zippers. Hang dry is also fine if you tumble briefly afterward to restore water beading.
DWR Re-Proofing
When water stops beading on the 175 g/m² DryVent™ twill (typically after heavy use, multiple washes, or extended rain/snow exposure), re-treat with a spray-on DWR such as Nikwax TX Direct or Granger’s Performance Repel. Apply to the clean, damp jacket, paying extra attention to the shoulders (where pack straps wear the DWR fastest), the powder-skirt hem, and the sleeve cuffs. A short low-heat tumble helps set the finish.
Insulation Care
HEATSEEKER™ synthetic insulation can lose loft over years of compression (especially in the body where 80 g fill is heaviest). At the end of every season, tumble the jacket on low for 10–15 minutes with a couple of clean tennis balls to re-fluff the fill. If the jacket has been stored compressed, give it a longer tumble + manual hand-fluffing of any clumped sections.
Zippers
The PU-coated, reverse-coil zippers are the most failure-prone part of any technical shell. Keep the coils clean (a soft brush works), lubricate sparingly with a silicone-based zipper lubricant (Nikwax, GE Silicone II, or beeswax) if they start sticking, and never force a stuck zipper — back it off and clear debris to avoid breaking the slider. Open and close fully when storing so the slider doesn’t rest in one position and wear the coil unevenly.
Powder Skirt & Helmet Hood
The snap-away powder skirt is a wear-and-tear zone — check the snaps and gripper elastic each season; the snaps can be replaced with compatible TNF hardware if they pull. The helmet-compatible hood should be stored loose, not rolled or compressed, to preserve the helmet volume.
Storage
Store clean, dry, and uncompressed in a cool, dark, dry place. Hang on a wide hanger or fold flat. Long-term compression (stuffed in a gear bag) breaks down the HEATSEEKER™ insulation, flattens the DryVent™ membrane, and delaminates the seam tape over time. Keep out of direct sunlight (UV degrades both the recycled polyester face fabric and the non-PFC DWR finish).
