Men's Fontanales Wind Jacket
Men's Fontanales Wind Jacket
WINDWALL™ · 100% Recycled Polyester · Stowable · Thumb Loops · Reflective Bar · 50D 74 g/m² · XS-XL

Ultra-lightweight and stowable for superior portability, the Men's Fontanales Wind Jacket is built for those who value speed and performance on the trail. Highly wind-resistant WINDWALL™ fabric provides protection against unrelenting gusts, making your next hike or trail run a breeze. A water-repellent finish adds coverage from the elements, an attached hood seals in warmth on exposed ridgelines, and thumb loops keep the sleeves in place when you're reaching and grabbing branches or holding trekking poles.

Regular Fit
A regular fit layers cleanly over a baselayer or under a shell — easy-wearing cut that moves with you on the trail without restriction, with enough room to layer a light fleece underneath for cooler conditions.
WINDWALL™ Wind-Resistant Fabric
Highly wind-resistant WINDWALL™ fabric provides protection against unrelenting gusts — blocks wind penetration and reduces the effects of wind chill during exposed ridge walks, alpine starts, and cold descents.
Non-PFC DWR Finish
A non-PFC DWR finish on the WINDWALL™ fabric causes light rain, flurries, and trail splashes to bead up and roll off — adds extra weather protection to the wind-resistant system without compromising breathability.
100% Recycled Polyester Body
Body fabric is made with 100% recycled polyester — premium wind-resistant performance with a much lighter footprint on the planet than virgin polyester.
Attached Elastic-Bound Hood
An attached, elastic-bound, three-piece hood wraps the head for clean coverage — the elastic binding keeps the hood close to the face without restricting peripheral vision on exposed trail sections.
Center Front Zip with Chin Guard
An exposed center front zip with a chin guard seals out wind at the most exposed entry point — the chin guard prevents zipper chafing on the neck during all-day wear.
Cuffs with Binding & Thumb Loops
Cuffs feature binding and thumb loops to prevent the sleeves from riding up when you're reaching, grabbing branches, or holding trekking poles — keeps the jacket's coverage locked in during dynamic movement.
Stows in Secure-Zip Right Pocket
The entire jacket stows in a secure-zip pocket on the right side — compresses to pack size for stashing in a running vest, hydration pack, or climbing pack, and the secure zip keeps the stowed jacket from falling out.
Heat Transfer Logo Detailing
Heat transfer logos on the left chest and back-right shoulder deliver signature TNF branding — clean, low-profile, and won't rub against your skin or pack straps.
Reflective Bar on Back Hem
A reflective bar on the back hem increases visibility in low-light conditions — adds safety for early-morning trail runs, evening hikes, and shoulder-season starts when the light fades fast.

What's Included
In Box
1 × Men's Fontanales Wind Jacket

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild technical wash — close the secure-zip pocket and any hook-and-loop before tossing it in.

Turn the jacket inside-out before washing to protect the heat transfer logos and the reflective bar on the back hem.

Tumble dry on low heat for 20-30 minutes to reactivate the non-PFC DWR finish — heat is essential to keep water beading on the surface rather than saturating the WINDWALL™ shell.

Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener, and do not use dryer sheets — all three can coat the WINDWALL™ fabric and degrade the DWR finish, the breathability, and the reflective bar on the back hem.

Do not iron, do not dry clean, and do not wring the jacket when wet — wringing can damage the lightweight 50D 74 g/m² shell and stretch the elastic-bound cuff binding.

Re-apply a non-PFC DWR spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) after several washes or whenever water stops beading on the surface — refreshes the water-shedding performance and extends the life of the WINDWALL™ shell.

After washing, stuff the jacket back into the secure-zip right pocket for storage — keeps it ready to grab for your next trail run or alpine start.

Check the thumb loops and elastic-bound cuff binding periodically for wear — these are the most common failure points on a wind jacket, and replacement is straightforward with a needle and thread.

Store the jacket in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid long-term compression in a stuff sack beyond the secure-zip pocket, which can degrade the wind-resistant performance of the WINDWALL™ fabric over time.
