Men's Chabot 2.0 Long-Sleeve Hoodie
Men's Chabot 2.0 Long-Sleeve Hoodie
Sportswear · Casual Hoodie / Lifestyle

Inspired by classic thermal layers, the Men's Chabot 2.0 Long-Sleeve Hoodie delivers textured comfort and casual versatility. Minimal branding and a relaxed fit make this a go-to wardrobe staple for everyday wear and easy adventuring.

Relaxed Fit
Relaxed fit through the body and sleeves — generous cut that layers easily over a base layer or under a shell without binding; the roomy silhouette is the core of the casual-wardrobe-staple appeal
Heavyweight 400 g/m² Cotton Fleece
Body fabric is 400 g/m² 100% Climate Conscious Cotton — heavyweight, dense, textured fleece in the spirit of classic thermal layers; substantial hand-feel without being stiff, and it softens further with washing
Stretch Rib Cuffs and Hem
270 g/m² 94% Climate Conscious Cotton, 6% elastane rib at cuffs and hem — the elastane gives the rib a memory recovery so cuffs don't bag out at the wrists and the hem stays put at the waist through repeated wear and washing
Two-Piece Hood
Two-piece hood with a center seam — the two-piece construction allows the hood to sit naturally on the head and contour over the crown rather than pulling flat; gives the silhouette a more structured, classic-sweatshirt look than a one-piece hood
Dropped Shoulders
Dropped shoulders give the hoodie a relaxed, slouchy shoulder line that reinforces the casual silhouette — the shoulder seam sits a couple of inches past the natural shoulder point, which is the defining visual cue of a relaxed-fit fleece
Open On-Seam Hand Pockets
Open on-seam hand pockets — built into the side seam for a clean exterior line that doesn't interrupt the silhouette; the open-top design is faster to slip hands into than zippered pockets and reinforces the casual, easy-wear intent
Embroidered Logo on Left Hem
Embroidered logo on the left hem — subtle branding rather than a large chest print; embroidery is more durable than printed logos through repeated washing and won't crack or fade the way a screen print can over time
Circular Design
Thoughtfully designed to be disassembled and recycled by us at the end of its life into raw materials for a second generation of products — part of TNF's circularity program, which keeps materials in use longer rather than sending them to landfill
Climate Conscious Cotton
Body and rib fabrics made with Climate Conscious Cotton from farmers using farming practices that help build soil carbon — sourcing supports regenerative agriculture that reduces the carbon footprint of cotton production

Sustainability

Materials
Best: 75%–100% Recycled or Sustainable Materials
Cotton Sourcing
Climate Conscious Cotton — sourced from farmers using practices that help build soil carbon
Circular Design
Designed to be disassembled and recycled at end of life into raw materials for a second-generation product
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Turn the hoodie inside out before washing — this protects the embroidered logo on the hem from abrasion against other garments, zippers, and buttons, and reduces pilling on the outer face of the fleece. Use a mild detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or dryer sheets. Fabric softener coats the cotton fibers and reduces the breathability and absorbency of the fleece over time. Do not dry clean.
Drying
Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Cotton fleece at 400 g/m² is heavy when wet — a low-heat tumble with a damp towel thrown in helps restore loft without overdrying. Avoid high heat — high heat can cause excessive shrinkage (cotton is more prone to shrinkage than synthetic fleece), and prolonged high heat weakens the elastane in the rib at the cuffs and hem. If line drying, lay flat or hang over a wide surface to prevent the weight of the wet fabric from stretching out the shoulders.
Shrinkage Prevention
Cotton fleece will shrink if exposed to heat. To minimize shrinkage, wash cold, dry on low, and remove the hoodie from the dryer while still slightly damp — let it finish air-drying flat. The 400 g/m² body and 270 g/m² rib will both contract slightly with the first wash (typically 3–5% on cotton garments). The relaxed fit is designed to accommodate this — if the hoodie feels snug after the first wash, it has likely been exposed to too much heat, not a sizing defect.
Climate Conscious Cotton
Climate Conscious Cotton is sourced from farmers using regenerative practices that help build soil carbon. The cotton itself behaves like conventional cotton in terms of care — wash cold, dry low — but supporting regenerative sourcing means the garment has a measurably lower carbon footprint per kilogram of cotton than conventionally-sourced alternatives. The heavyweight 400 g/m² fleece is durable and will last longer with proper care, which is the most direct way to reduce per-wear environmental impact.
Rib Cuffs and Hem
The 270 g/m² rib (94% Climate Conscious Cotton, 6% elastane) at cuffs and hem gives the rib memory-recovery so it doesn't bag out at the wrists. To preserve the elastane: avoid high heat in the dryer, avoid chlorine bleach, and don't wring or twist the rib when wet. If the rib starts to lose recovery after years of heavy wear, it's an indicator that the elastane has degraded from heat exposure — the cuff will stretch but not bounce back.
Pilling Prevention
Heavyweight cotton fleece (400 g/m²) will pill at high-friction zones — under the arms, where a backpack strap rubs the shoulders, and where a seatbelt crosses the chest. Wash inside out to minimize external abrasion. Use a fabric shaver or sweater comb periodically to remove pilling — this restores the appearance without damaging the underlying fibers. Pilling is not a defect in the fleece; it's a normal characteristic of long-staple cotton at this weight.
Embroidered Logo Care
The embroidered logo on the left hem is more durable than a screen-printed logo but it can still be damaged by abrasion. Wash inside out to protect the embroidery from contact with other garments. Avoid ironing directly over the embroidery — if ironing is needed for a particular stain, iron from the inside and place a cloth between the iron and the embroidery. The polyester embroidery thread can melt at high iron temperatures.
Hood & Two-Piece Construction
The two-piece hood has a center seam that gives the hood structure. To prevent the seam from puckering over time, avoid stuffing the hoodie into a tight stuff sack or under heavy items in a backpack. The hood is meant to lay flat or drape — repeated folding along the center seam can cause the stitching to weaken. If the hood drawcord (if present) becomes stuck, work it back and forth gently rather than pulling hard.
Circular Design — End of Life
This garment is designed under TNF's Circular Design standard — thoughtfully constructed to be disassembled and recycled at the end of its life into raw materials for a second-generation product. When the hoodie is no longer wearable (significant pilling, holes, lost rib recovery), don't throw it in the landfill. Many TNF retail partners and take-back programs accept end-of-life garments for disassembly and recycling. The 100% cotton body and elastane-blend rib can be processed back into yarn or insulation fill, keeping the materials in use.
Storage
Store clean in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Folding is preferred over hanging for heavyweight cotton fleece — the weight of the wet-or-damp fleece can stretch out the shoulders if hung on a regular hanger for long periods. If hanging is the only option, use a wide padded hanger to distribute the weight across the shoulder seam. Cedar blocks or lavender sachets in the storage area deter moths without leaving a strong scent on the cotton.
