Cleaning
Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Wipe the suede + textile upper with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach which can damage the suede, the DRYVENT™ membrane, and the Vibram® Megagrip outsole.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or sunlight. Remove the insole and loosen the laces to allow airflow through the DRYVENT™ membrane. Never tumble dry — high heat damages the waterproof membrane, the HEATSEEKER™ insulation, and the EVA midsole.
Suede Care
Use a suede brush periodically to restore the suede nap and remove embedded dirt. Apply a suede protector spray to maintain water resistance and prevent salt stains in winter use.
Salt & Slush Care
Wipe salt and slush off the suede upper with a damp cloth after every winter outing. Salt damages the suede finish and can corrode any metal eyelets over time if left to dry.
Vibram® Outsole Care
Clear mud, snow, and debris from the Vibram® Megagrip 3 mm lugs with a stiff brush after each use. Vibram® Megagrip is high-performance rubber — keep it clean to maintain the optimal wet/dry grip.
Climbing Zone Care
The climbing zone in the toe is designed for smearing and edging. Inspect it periodically for wear — if the rubber is wearing down to a smooth surface, the climbing-specific grip is reduced.
DRYVENT™ Membrane Care
The internal DRYVENT™ membrane does the waterproofing. Avoid machine washing or harsh detergents which can damage the membrane — spot clean only.
HEATSEEKER™ Insulation Care
100 g HEATSEEKER™ synthetic insulation retains warmth even when damp. If the insulation loses loft after years of use, the shoes may need to be retired for casual winter use.
Storage
Store loosely in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep shoes stuffed with paper or shoe trees to maintain shape and prevent the suede upper from creasing.
