The Base Camp Voyager 29" Roller is versatile, carry-on-sized luggage built for shorter-duration trips. This rugged wheeled suitcase features a light-yet-durable ripstop outer and an external secure-zip pocket for the things you need in a hurry. Clever internal organization, internal compression straps, and smooth-rolling wheels make it a travel companion you should never leave behind — whether you're on a long weekend, a business trip, or a two-week vacation where you refuse to check a bag.
Wipe down the 300D recycled polyester tarpaulin shell and the 840D recycled ballistic nylon back with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap — handles most travel grime, dust, and spills without a full wash.
Wipe down the TPU coating on the main shell and the non-PFC DWR-treated back with a damp cloth periodically to refresh the water-shedding performance and remove any salt, grime, or airport debris buildup.
For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Avoid submerging the roller fully or spraying water directly at the wheel housings, telescoping handle, or seams — internal moisture can lead to mildew and damage the chassis.
Open the main compartment fully and prop the roller open to air dry after any moisture exposure — prevents mildew and odor buildup in the fabric, mesh pocket, and chassis.
Hang to air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry and do not iron — heat can damage the TPU coating, the non-PFC DWR finish, and any internal fabric liners.
Do not bleach and do not dry clean — both can strip the DWR finish and degrade the recycled polyester and recycled ballistic nylon fabrics.
Re-treat the DWR finish on the 840D ballistic nylon back periodically (or as needed) with a non-PFC spray-on water repellent (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) to refresh the water-shedding performance.
Wipe the wheels with a damp cloth after dusty or muddy trips to remove debris from the wheel housings — debris buildup can degrade the smooth-rolling performance over time.
Check the telescoping handle mechanism periodically for smooth operation — wipe down the handle rails with a dry cloth and apply a small amount of silicone spray lubricant if the handle starts to stick or wobble.
Inspect the zippers (main compartment + zippered divider + internal mesh + external secure-zip) before each trip — the external secure-zip pocket is the most-stressed zipper (quick access + frequent use) and benefits from a small application of zipper lubricant if it starts to stick.
Check the four carrying handles and their stitching before each trip — the stitching is the most common wear point on a frequently-traveled roller, and a small repair with a heavy-duty needle and thread extends the life of the roller.
Store the roller in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid long-term storage in a sealed plastic bag or in direct sunlight, which can degrade the TPU coating and the non-PFC DWR finish over time.
When not in use, retract the telescoping handle fully and close the main compartment — keeps the roller in its most compact form and protects the handle from accidental damage.
