Women's Second Cut™ Fleece Jacket

Built for outdoor adventures with a vintage feel, the Women's Second Cut™ Fleece Jacket is inspired by our iconic Hike Classic Edition socks. Inspired by the heritage that brought our most-popular sock to life, this jacket is built with a 100% recycled polyester body and our retro 1994 branding for a vintage style. Plus, fleece construction offers the perfect blend of comfort, breathability, and quick-drying warmth for layered warmth or standalone wear.

The Hike Classic Edition (HCE) heritage line brings the look and feel of our most-popular sock to apparel — retro 1994 branding, the same vintage color palette, and the same proven outdoor positioning. The Second Cut™ Fleece Jacket is the apparel extension of the HCE family, designed to wear alongside the Women's Hike Classic Edition Second Cut™ Crew Socks (SW002940).
Vintage 1994 Branding
Retro 1994 logo graphic on the chest brings a nostalgic, throwback feel to a functional modern fleece. The vintage branding is what separates this piece from the rest of the fleece lineup — it’s not a performance shell or a technical mid-layer, it’s a heritage piece with a vintage outdoor aesthetic.
100% Recycled Polyester Body
The fleece body is built from 100% recycled polyester — post-consumer recycled fiber that gives the jacket its quick-drying, breathable structure. The fleece construction is mid-weight, holds warmth without bulk, and dries fast enough to wear through variable weather without staying wet.
Merino-Blend Pocket Lining
Hand pockets are lined with a Merino-blend fabric (53% Wool-Merino, 36% Polyester, 7% Nylon, 4% Other Fibers) — the Merino touch you’d expect from Smartwool, applied where your hands actually meet the jacket. Cold hands go into warm, Merino-lined pockets instead of cold synthetic ones.
Quick-Drying Fleece Warmth
The fleece construction offers the perfect blend of comfort, breathability, and quick-drying warmth — warmth that doesn’t sit as a heavy wet layer when the temperature shifts or the activity level picks up. The right mid-layer weight for shoulder-season layering and around-town wear alike.
Layered Or Standalone Wear
Designed to provide versatile warmth for layered warmth or standalone wear. Worn solo over a tee or henley on cool-morning dog walks and trailhead mornings; layered under a Hardshell or packable rain jacket when the weather turns. The fleece face stands up to pack-strap abrasion without pilling.
Rib Trim Detail
Ribbed cuffs and hem (97% Polyester, 3% Elastane) hold the jacket’s shape through wash and wear and seal in warmth at the wrists and waist. The rib construction gives the jacket its clean, vintage silhouette.

Washing — Machine Wash Cold Gentle With Like Colors. Cold water protects the recycled polyester fleece face from pilling and keeps the retro 1994 print from fading. Wash with similar colors to prevent dye transfer onto the Merino-blend pocket lining.

Drying — Tumble Dry Low. Low heat preserves the fleece loft and prevents shrinkage in the ribbed cuffs and hem. High heat will mat the fleece face and degrade the elastane in the rib trim over time.

Bleach & Iron — Do Not Bleach. Do Not Iron. Bleach will damage both the recycled polyester body and the Merino-blend pocket lining; iron contact will melt the fleece face and distort the vintage 1994 print.

Dry Cleaning — Do Not Dry Clean. The chemicals used in dry cleaning degrade the recycled polyester fiber structure and strip the Merino wool’s natural lanolin from the pocket lining.

Storage — Fold and store in a cool, dry place. Hanging a fleece mid-layer for long periods can stretch the ribbed cuffs and hem out of shape; the fleece body holds its structure best when folded.

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
