Ultra-Sil Nano Poncho
Ultra-Sil Nano Poncho
15D Ultra-Sil Nano · 130 g · Taped Seams · Pack-Cover Back Panel · Hot-Climate Ventilation

The Ultra-Sil Nano Poncho is built around an ultralight principle: cover you and your backpack from rain while staying small enough to live in a jacket pocket or lid pouch. Made with 15D Ultra-Sil Nano fabric and fully taped seams, it weighs about 130 grams and packs into its own stuff sack, while the long back panel drapes over a pack to keep gear dry underneath. The cut delivers far more ventilation than a rain jacket — ideal for hot, humid climates and tropical hiking where condensation inside a hardshell would be miserable — and press studs on the sides let you close it up for additional coverage. Doubles as an emergency rain cover for sports events, festivals, and outdoor days that turn wet.

15D Ultra-Sil Nano Fabric
Ultralight 15-denier Ultra-Sil Nano fabric delivers a tiny packed size and barely-there weight without sacrificing waterproofness in steady rain.
Fully Taped Seams
Double-stitched, tape-sealed seams make every stitch line watertight — heavy rain stays on the outside of the poncho instead of seeping through.
Long Back Panel for Backpack
Extended back panel drapes over a backpack so pack contents and shoulder straps stay dry without forcing you to cover the pack separately.
Press-Stud Sides
Side press studs let you close the poncho for additional arm coverage and to keep cold wind and rain off your core in heavier weather.
Hot-Climate Ventilation
Generous cut delivers far more airflow than a rain jacket — handles condensation and overheating in hot, humid climates where hardshells suffocate.
Packs into Own Stuff Sack
Stuff sack is integrated into the poncho for pack-it-anywhere convenience — roughly the size of a fist, easy to clip on a pack or drop in a lid pocket.
Emergency Rain Cover
Doubles as an emergency rain cover for sports events, festivals, outdoor days, and surprise thunderstorms — keeps you and your group covered without a dedicated rain jacket.
130 g Total Weight
Weighs about 130 grams total — light enough that there's no good reason not to bring it as a "just in case" layer on any day-hike or travel day.

Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water; rinse thoroughly and air dry completely before packing into the integrated stuff sack.

Do not machine wash or tumble dry — agitation and heat damage the taped seams and 15D fabric.

Re-treat the DWR periodically with a spray-on restorer to keep water beading off the fabric and reduce wetting-out in steady rain.

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or UV exposure when storing; 15D nylon degrades faster in direct sunlight than heavier deniers.

Limit contact with sharp objects, abrasive surfaces, and velcro from other gear — these can puncture the thin 15D shell.

Inspect the tape-sealed seams and press studs before each trip; if a seam starts peeling or a stud falls off, retire the poncho from heavy-rain use.
