The Ultra-Sil Dry Bag Set is the Backpacker Editors' Choice award-winning modular packing system that's been organizing backpack interiors since 2006. The set bundles three Ultra-Sil dry bags — 3L, 5L, and 8L — in the same bluesign-approved 30D Ultra-Sil CORDURA nylon, with taped seams, oval bases, and Field Repair Buckle roll-top closures. Together they keep clothing, sleeping layers, electronics, and toiletries sorted and dry inside any pack or duffle, and the semi-translucent fabric lets you see what's in each bag without opening it. A complete 3-bag set at 100 grams.

Bluesign-approved 30-denier nylon reinforced with CORDURA yarns gives the bags a strength-to-weight ratio well above what their weight suggests.

Fabric resists 2000 mm of water pressure — more than enough to keep contents dry inside a pack, duffle, or pannier exposed to splashes and brief rain.
Taped Seams
Taped seams keep moisture from wicking through stitch lines so the bags stay waterproof in the use cases they're designed for.
Roll-Top w/ Field Repair Buckle
Non-wicking hypalon roll-top closure secured by a patented Field Repair Buckle — field-replaceable without tools if it ever cracks.
Semi-Translucent Fabric
Semi-translucent shell shows what's inside so you can find the right bag without opening or labelling every one.
Oval Base
Oval cross-section stops the bags from rolling on sloped surfaces and packs more efficiently against the inside of a backpack or duffle than a round base would.

PFC-free durable water repellent finish helps water bead off the fabric without relying on forever-chemical treatments.

Hand wash each bag with mild soap and lukewarm water; rinse thoroughly and air dry with the closure open before storing.

Do not machine wash or tumble dry — agitation and heat damage the PFC-free DWR and stress the taped seams.

Re-treat the DWR periodically with a bluesign-approved wash-in or spray-on restorer to keep water beading off the fabric.

Store flat or rolled (not folded) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the CORDURA face yarns and seam tape.

Inspect the roll-top closure and Field Repair Buckle on each bag before each trip — the buckle is field-replaceable without tools if it ever cracks.

These bags are rated for internal storage use inside a pack or duffle; they are not designed for paddle sports, submersion, or abrasion-heavy external use. For those conditions, step up to the Lightweight Dry Bag.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
