Pocket Shower
Pocket Shower
13L Solar Camp Shower · 4.2 oz · Doubles as Dry Sack

The Pocket Shower is a 13-liter solar-heated camp shower that doubles as a dry sack. Hang it in the sun for eight minutes and you've got a warm shower at base camp, then use it as a regular dry sack when you're done.

70D Waterproof Nylon (Same as Lightweight Dry Sacks)
Made of 70D Nylon — the same high quality, wear-resistant, waterproof fabric as Sea to Summit's Lightweight Dry Sacks. Built to handle the rigors of base-camp and thru-hiker use without puncturing or leaking at the seams.
Solar-Heated 8-Minute Warm Shower
The black fabric soaks up the sun during the day at base camp — about eight minutes of full sun delivers a warm shower. No fuel, no batteries, no pump required; just fill it with water, lay it on a sun-warmed rock, and hang it an hour or two before you want to shower.
Contoured Shower Head with Graduated Apertures
Built into the base is a compact showerhead with contoured design and graduated apertures — equal spray dispersion across the entire shower head, not just a center jet. Mimics a home shower rather than a garden hose.
Easy-Twist On/Off & Flow Adjustment
Simple and easy-to-use twist mechanism for turning on/off and for flow adjustment. One turn starts the flow, another turn shuts it off — no valve pump needed. Adjust mid-shower to control flow or shut off while soaping up.
Roll-Top Closure + 20 ft Nylon Cord
The seams are fully taped and the roll-top closure has two 'D' rings attached to 20 ft of nylon cord — hang the shower almost anywhere (tree branch, vehicle roof rack, raft frame). 20 ft (6 m) gives plenty of clearance to stand under the shower head.
Bar-Tack Attached Delrin® D-Rings
Bar-tack attached Delrin® D-rings — Delrin is a high-strength acetal resin that resists UV, salt water, and abrasion (vs cheap plastic D-rings that crack under load). The bar-tack stitching is reinforced with multiple passes so the rings won't pull out under the weight of a full 13L bag.
Doubles as a Regular Dry Sack
Doubles as a regular dry sack when not in use as a shower — basically a 13L Lightweight Dry Sack with a shower head built in. Use it for food, clothing, or sleep gear on the way in, then convert to shower duty at camp.
Super Compact & Light
Super compact and light — weighs just 120g and zips into its own small pouch. About the size of a burrito when packed, slips into a backpack pocket or hydration sleeve. No separate stuff sack to lose.

Store Empty + Dry to Prevent Mildew
After each use, empty the shower completely and air dry before packing — water trapped in the fabric and seams can lead to mildew and odor. Hang the shower upside down with the cap off for 30 minutes after draining; the black fabric dries quickly in any breeze.
Rinse Shower Head After Use
Rinse the shower head with fresh water after every camp use, especially if you've been in hard-water or saltwater areas — mineral buildup can clog the graduated apertures and slow the flow. If the apertures do clog, soak the shower head in white vinegar for 15 minutes, then poke through with a pin.
Inspect Cord & D-Rings Before Trip
Before each trip, check the 20 ft cord for fraying and check that the D-rings are still bar-tacked tight — the cord holds the entire 13L water-filled bag (~13 kg / 28 lb), so a single failed attachment point dumps 28 lb onto the ground or your head. Re-tie any frayed cord ends with a double fisherman knot.
Avoid Sharp Objects Inside the Bag
The 70D nylon is tough but not puncture-proof — keep sharp objects out of the bag (titanium pot, tent stakes, fishing hooks) or wrap them first. A small puncture in the shower's main body means a leaking shower; mid-shower repairs with Gear Aid patches are awkward at best.
Clean with Mild Soap & Water
Clean the bag by hand with warm water and mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash) — no machine wash, no bleach, no harsh detergents as they degrade the taped seams. Rinse thoroughly and air dry before storage.
Don't Leave Twisting Open Under Pressure
Don't leave the twist valve open when the bag is full and suspended — the weight of 13L of water (~13 kg) plus gravity can twist the shower head off over time. Twist fully closed for storage and travel, and use the valve only when the bag is hung and you're ready to shower.
Dry Out Fully Before Long-Term Storage
For long-term storage (off-season, post-trip in the garage), make sure the bag is bone-dry inside and out before zipping into its stuff sack — moisture trapped in the rolled closure leads to mildew, and mildew in 70D nylon is nearly impossible to remove. Store in a cool, dry place.
Repair Punctures with Gear Aid Patches
Small punctures can be field-repaired with Gear Aid Tenacious Tape patches (cut a round patch 1 inch larger than the hole, round the corners, apply to clean dry surface, press firmly, wait 24 hours before stressing). Taped seams that begin to peel can be re-sealed with Gear Aid SilNet seam sealer.
