Lightweight Stuff Sack
Lightweight Stuff Sack
Organized Modular Packing · 6 Sizes · 3L–30L · 29–96 g

The Stuff Sack is made from a durable 70D recycled Nylon and is the perfect solution for organized modular packing on any adventure. A white interior coating helps to shed moisture and makes finding your contents easy. The unique tear-proof drawcord top with Capture Cord Lock opening is easy to use. Available in three colors for optimum color coding and organization of your gear. These tough Nylon Stuff Sacks do not have taped seams or a roll-top closure, so they are water resistant rather than waterproof. The lighter and simpler cousin of the Lightweight Dry Bag — pick stuff sacks for organization and water resistance, pick dry bags for true waterproof protection in rain or paddle sports.

2000mm Hydrostatic Head
Robust, waterproof PU-coated 70D RCS-certified recycled nylon body fabric has a 2,000mm hydrostatic head — handles rain, splashes, and brief moisture exposure but is NOT a substitute for a true dry bag. Pick this when you want organization and light water resistance, not submersion protection.
Tear-Proof Drawcord + Capture Cord Lock
Unique tear-proof drawcord top with Capture Cord Lock opening is easy to use — pull the drawcord to close, the cord lock holds it tight, and the hypalon pull-tabs give you a durable grip even with cold or wet hands. No roll-top to fold, no buckle to clip, just pull and cinch.
6 Sizes: 3L / 5L / 8L / 13L / 20L / 30L
Six sizes cover every packing need — 3L for socks/underwear, 5L for a down jacket, 8L for a sleeping bag, 13L for a 3-season bag + layers, 20L for a full kit, 30L for winter bag or extended trips. Mix and match for a complete modular packing system.
White Interior Coating
White interior coating helps to shed moisture and makes finding your contents easy — the white surface bounces light around inside, making it easy to find small items in poor light, and resists moisture absorption so contents dry out faster if the sack gets damp.
Hypalon Pull-Tabs on Drawcord & Throat
Easy-to-operate opening with durable hypalon pull-tabs on drawcord and throat — the same ultra-durable material used in whitewater rafting and military gear. Pull tabs won't fray, snap, or tear under repeated use.
Reinforced Stitching + Overlocked Edges
Reinforced stitching on all stress points and overlocked fabric edges for added strength — the stitching is concentrated where the bag takes the most load (around the drawcord throat, on the base handle, and at the seam junctions), with overlocked edges to prevent fraying on every panel.
Nylon Webbing Handle on Round Base
Sturdy, nylon webbing handle on round base provides a secure grab point — pull the bag out of a deep pack pocket, hang it from a carabiner in the tent vestibule, or attach a shoulder strap. The round base is the right shape for cylindrical sleeping bag stuffs.
3 Colors for Color-Coded Packing
Available in 3 colors (Burnt Olive, Spicy Orange, Surf the Web) for color-coded packing — assign a color per clothing type, family member, or trip. Toss the right color in the pack and know what's in it before opening.
Ultra-Light Construction
Ultralight construction — the 3L weighs just 29 g, the 30L only 96 g. The lightest option in the Sea to Summit organization range; for heavier-duty use, the Lightweight Dry Bag is the upgrade path.
Great for Tent Storage
Yes — the durable 70D Nylon is great for tent storage, shelter storage, and other camp organization. Stuff the tent fly, inner, and footprint into a stuff sack to keep them bundled and easy to deploy at the next camp.

Hand Wash with Warm Water & Soap
Hand wash the sack with warm water and mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash) — machine washing can damage the PU coating, tangle the drawcord, and stress the cord lock. Rinse thoroughly, then air dry fully before packing away.
Re-Proof PU Coating Every 1-2 Years
Re-proof the PU coating every 1-2 years with a spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct Spray-On or Granger's Performance Repel) — restores water beading on the fabric surface and extends the water-resistant lifespan. The PU coating does wear off with use.
Don't Machine Wash or Dry
Skip the washing machine and dryer — machine washing can damage the PU coating, tangle the drawcord, and stress the cord lock. Hand wash and air dry only.
Air Dry Before Long-Term Storage
After cleaning or after a trip in wet conditions, let the sack air dry completely before storing — trapped moisture leads to mildew and odor that transfers to gear on future trips. Open the drawcord fully and hang or drape to dry.
Inspect Drawcord & Cord Lock
Before each trip, check the drawcord and Capture Cord Lock for fraying, sticking, or weak retention — a drawcord that won't hold tension is a sack that won't stay closed in your pack. Replace the drawcord if it frays beyond a few strands.
Repair Pinholes with Gear Aid
Small pinholes in the 70D nylon can be repaired with Gear Aid Tenacious Tape patches — apply to the inside of the sack, let cure 24 hours, and the patch is more durable than the surrounding fabric. No need to replace the whole sack for a small puncture.
