Lightweight Compression Sack
Lightweight Compression Sack
Space-Saving Modular Packing · 5L / 8L / 13L / 20L / 35L · 68–167 g

The Lightweight Compression Sack is the perfect solution for space-saving gear storage and organized packing. Made from bluesign approved recycled 70D nylon with a C0 non-PFAS DWR finish, these burly sacks offer excellent strength to weight ratio. The four side-release buckle compression straps can pull contents down to as much as one-third of their original volume, which means you save valuable space in your pack for other essentials. The attached flip-top lid prevents straps from tangling, and the 10000mm hydrostatic head delivers serious water resistance for camp-side rain and stream crossings. Modular packing at its best — once you have experienced ultralight compression sacks, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.

Compresses to 1/3 Original Volume
Four side-release buckle compression straps can pull contents down to as much as one-third of their original volume — sleeping bags, clothing, and bulky gear all pack down small. Saves serious space in your pack for other essentials, and keeps the load compact for better balance on rough trail.
5 Sizes: 5L / 8L / 13L / 20L / 35L
Five sizes cover every packing need — 5L for socks/underwear/light layers, 8L for a down jacket, 13L for a sleeping bag, 20L for a 3-season sleeping bag + layers, 35L for a winter sleeping bag or full kit organization. Mix and match for a complete modular packing system.
Recycled 70D Nylon + C0 DWR Finish
Lightweight, bluesign APPROVED RCS-certified recycled 70D nylon main body fabric uses a C0 non-PFAS DWR finish — strong, water-resistant, and made with environmental standards that meet bluesign's certification. The 70D denier balances weight and durability for years of trips.
Side-Release Buckle Compression Straps
Side-release buckle compression straps for fast and easy access — release the buckles to open the sack, cinch them down to compress in seconds. No rolling, no fumbling, no wrestling with stuff sacks at the trailhead. Just squeeze the air out, clip, and go.
Attached Flip-Top Lid
Attached flip-top lid prevents straps tangling — the lid folds over the buckles when not in use, keeping everything contained and snag-free. No more straps catching on branches, toggles tangling in your pack, or buckles flapping in the wind.
10000mm Hydrostatic Head
10000mm hydrostatic head delivers serious water resistance for camp-side rain, stream crossings, and the occasional drop in a puddle. The seams are not tape-sealed and the top is not a roll-top closure, so it's not fully waterproof — but the fabric itself sheds water effectively.
Lightweight, Burly Construction
Excellent strength-to-weight ratio — the 5L weighs just 68 g, the 35L only 167 g. No need to choose between saving weight and protecting your gear; these sacks deliver both.
3 Colors for Visual Organization
Available in 3 colors (Burnt Olive, Spicy Orange, Surf the Web) for visual organization — color-code by clothing type, family member, activity, or trip. Toss the right color in the pack and know what's in it before opening.
Non-PFAS Throughout
Non-PFAS throughout — the C0 DWR finish is free of perfluorinated compounds, so no forever chemicals in contact with your sleeping bag, clothing, or food. Modern material science without the chemical load.

Hand Wash with Warm Water & Soap
Hand wash the sack with warm water and mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash) — machine washing can damage the DWR finish, tangle the compression straps, and stress the buckles. Rinse thoroughly, then air dry fully before packing away.
Re-Proof DWR Every 1-2 Years
Re-proof the C0 DWR finish every 1-2 years with a spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct Spray-On or Granger's Performance Repel) — restores water beading on the fabric surface and extends the water-resistant lifespan. The C0 DWR is more environmentally friendly than older C8 formulas but does wear off with use.
Don't Machine Wash or Dry
Skip the washing machine and dryer — machine washing can damage the DWR finish, tangle the compression straps, and stress the buckles, and the heat of a dryer can damage the fabric and webbing. Hand wash and air dry only.
Air Dry Before Long-Term Storage
After cleaning or after a trip in wet conditions, let the sack air dry completely before storing — trapped moisture leads to mildew and odor that transfers to gear on future trips. Hang open or drape over a line to dry.
Inspect Straps & Buckles
Before each trip, check the four compression straps and POM buckles for fraying, cracks, or weak clips — a strap that breaks mid-compression leaves your sleeping bag loose in your pack. Replace any damaged strap before use.
Repair Pinholes with Gear Aid
Small pinholes in the 70D nylon can be repaired with Gear Aid Tenacious Tape patches — apply to the inside of the sack, let cure 24 hours, and the patch is more durable than the surrounding fabric. No need to replace the whole sack for a small puncture.
