Washing
Hand wash the Vigor Heavyweight Sensor Gloves in cold water with a mild technical fabric wash (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash). Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners, which can damage the double-layered construction, the ActiveTemp™ treatment, the recycled polyester fibers, and the touchscreen-compatible material on the fingertips. Use a gentle cycle and rinse thoroughly.
Drying
Squeeze excess water gently from the gloves (don't wring or twist) and allow to air dry at room temperature. The double-layered Vigor Heavyweight takes longer to dry than the midweight version due to the extra insulation layer. Avoid high heat, which can damage the ActiveTemp™ treatment and the spandex stretch fibers. Don't put the gloves in the dryer.
ActiveTemp™ Treatment Reapplication
The ActiveTemp™ thermoregulating treatment is bonded to the fabric fibers and designed to last through the life of the garment with normal use and care. The treatment does not need to be reapplied like a surface spray. If you notice the thermoregulating properties are reduced (e.g., the fabric feels clammy when wet or doesn't manage temperature as well), the treatment may be reaching the end of its effective life. Avoid using fabric softeners, which can coat the ActiveTemp™ treatment and reduce its effectiveness.
Touchscreen Material Care
The touchscreen-compatible material on the fingertips is a conductive fabric that allows the skin's electrical signal to pass through to the touchscreen. Over time, oils and dirt can reduce the conductivity. If the touchscreen stops working well, clean the fingertips with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to remove the oils and restore conductivity.
Storage
Store the Vigor Heavyweight Gloves in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving the gloves in direct sunlight for extended periods — UV exposure can degrade the ActiveTemp™ treatment and fade the colors over time. Don't store in a hot car — extreme heat can damage the spandex stretch fibers and the ActiveTemp™ treatment. The gloves can be stored flat or loosely folded.
Repair
Small tears or holes in the fleece can be repaired with a patch (like Tenacious Tape) or by an outdoor gear repair service.
