Machine Wash Cold

Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and a technical fabric cleaner (like Nikwax Tech Wash) — preserves the Ventia™ 2.5L membrane, DWR finish, and mechanical stretch.

Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry

Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry away from direct sunlight — low heat reactivates the DWR finish and protects the 2.5L membrane from heat damage.

Do Not Bleach, Iron, or Dry Clean

Avoid chlorine bleach (degrades recycled polyester and DWR), hot irons (melts 2.5L print and synthetic fibers), and dry-cleaning solvents (strip DWR finish).

Re-Proof DWR Periodically

After 30-50 days of regular wear, the DWR finish fades. Restore with a PFC-free spray-on DWR (like Nikwax TX Direct) to maintain shell water beading and breathability.

Store Hanging or Loosely Folded

Store hanging on a wide hanger or loosely folded — avoid long-term compression in a stuff sack, which can damage the 2.5L membrane and reduce long-term waterproofing.
