14% spandex content delivers extreme stretch (highest tier rating) — high-steps, dyno moves, and scrambles happen without restriction. Critical for climbing and active hiking where standard stretch pants bind.

UPF 50+ Sun Protection

Built-in UPF 50+ shields exposed legs from harsh UV on summer hikes, exposed ridge walks, and long days on the water — the highest sun protection tier, prevents sunburn without sunscreen reapplication to covered skin.

Harness-Compatible Waist

Low-profile harness-compatible waist with brushed tricot-lined back and bonded belt loops — comfortable under a climbing harness or pack hip-belt, no bulky belt needed.

Machine Wash Cold

Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and like colors — preserves the spandex stretch, UPF coating, and water-resistant finish of the Ferrosi fabric.

Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry

Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry away from direct sunlight — high heat degrades the spandex stretch, UPF treatment, and water-resistant finish.

Do Not Bleach or Fabric Softener

Avoid chlorine bleach (degrades nylon and UPF coating) and liquid fabric softener (leaves residue that reduces wicking, breathability, and water resistance).

Do Not Iron or Dry Clean

Skip the iron — the synthetic blend is naturally wrinkle-resistant. Dry cleaning solvents strip the water-resistant finish and UPF treatment.

Re-Proof Water-Repellent Finish

After several washes, the water-resistant finish may fade. Restore with a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct) to maintain weather performance.
