ACG Lava Flow Ultralight Women's Therma-FIT ADV Down Jacket

Cold is inevitable. What you do with it is your call. We designed this ultralight jacket with 1000-fill goose down to help keep you out on the trail as temps drop. The lightweight ripstop fabric has water-repellent tech for a sturdy shell. And when you don't need the warmth, pack this jacket into its own pocket for easy storage. Good call.

1000-Fill Goose Down
"1000-fill goose down adds warmth without added weight for a lightweight construction that packs in the heat" — 1000-fill power is the loftiest down rating available, providing maximum warmth-to-weight ratio. The high-fill construction traps more air per gram than lower-fill down, so the jacket delivers serious warmth at ultralight weight for cold trail days.
Packable Design
"This jacket fits into its own pocket for easy storage" — the entire jacket compresses down into its own internal pocket, creating a self-contained stuff sack. The packable design makes it easy to stash in a pack for emergency warmth or strip off when conditions warm up, and there's no separate stuff sack to lose on the trail.
Lightweight Ripstop Shell + Water-Repellent Finish
"The lightweight ripstop fabric has water-repellent tech for a sturdy shell" — the woven ripstop construction resists tearing and abrasion on the trail, while the DWR (durable water-repellent) finish sheds light rain and snow. The fabric balance keeps the jacket's weight down without sacrificing durability in the field.
Snug-Fit Hood
"We designed the hood with a snug fit" — the close-fitting hood seals in warmth around the head and reduces bulk when worn under a shell. The low-profile fit moves with the wearer without obstructing peripheral vision, ideal for active trail use in cold conditions.
Two-Way Zipper
"Added a two-way zipper for adjustability" — the two-way front zipper allows venting from the bottom for unrestricted movement when climbing or pushing hard on the trail. The dual zippers also let the wearer access a harness or hip belt without unzipping the entire jacket.
Bungee Hem
"Included a bungee at the hem that lets you dial in your fit" — the adjustable drawcord at the hem seals out drafts and traps warmth inside the jacket. Cinch the bungee tight to retain core heat in cold wind, or loosen it for extra ventilation on the climb.
Layer and Adapt
"Not too loose and not too tight—this jacket is ideal layer to wear over a base or under a shell" — the standard fit is calibrated for layering, sliding cleanly over a base layer and fitting comfortably under a hardshell or rain jacket. The versatile cut works in a wide range of cold-weather systems.
Zippered Pockets + Reflective Details
"Zippered pockets" — secure hand and chest pockets keep essentials safe on the trail. "Reflective details" — strategic reflective hits add low-light visibility for early-morning starts and late-afternoon finishes in the backcountry.

Machine Wash
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a down-safe detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents, which can strip the DWR finish on the shell and damage the natural oils in the goose down. Wash separately from abrasive items like jeans or packs with rough straps.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat with two or three clean tennis balls or dryer balls to break up clumps and restore the down's loft. The drying process can take multiple cycles — down must be fully dry to prevent mildew and clumping. Avoid high heat, which can damage the ripstop shell and the down fibers.
Storage
Store uncompressed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving the jacket stuffed in its pack pocket for long periods, which can permanently compress the down and reduce its insulating power. Use a large breathable storage bag or hang in a closet for long-term storage.
DWR Refresh
The water-repellent finish on the ripstop shell will wear off over time and with washing. Refresh the DWR treatment periodically with a spray-on or wash-in re-proofing product designed for technical down outerwear. A well-maintained DWR finish keeps the shell light and functional in wet conditions.
