Made with GORE-TEX 3L fabric, these windproof and waterproof pants are every bit as tough and technical as their namesake, Misery Ridge. And all the details — belted elastic waistband, seam-sealed pockets and bungees at the cuffs — are there to help keep the elements at bay.

GORE-TEX 3L Waterproof + Windproof
"GORE-TEX 3L fabric is made by fusing three layers (tough outer face, breathable waterproof membrane and soft lining) together for a durable windproof and waterproof shell" — the 3-layer construction is the gold standard for technical rainwear. "Tough outer face" resists abrasion from brush and rock, "breathable waterproof membrane" lets sweat vapor escape while blocking rain, and "soft lining" provides next-to-skin comfort.
Named for Misery Ridge
"These windproof and waterproof pants are every bit as tough and technical as their namesake, Misery Ridge" — Misery Ridge is a renowned hiking and climbing area in central Oregon known for its exposed, technical terrain and extreme weather. The pants are named for and built to handle the conditions found at Misery Ridge and similar demanding environments.
Adventure-Ready Details
"Side vents for airflow, bungees at the hem, elastic waistband with belt and articulated seams come together for an adventure-ready style" — every detail serves a purpose for active use. "Side vents for airflow" allow temperature regulation during high-output activities. "Bungees at the hem" cinch the pants tight at the ankle to keep out debris and water. "Articulated seams" allow natural movement for hiking, climbing, and scrambling.
Seam-Sealed Pockets
"A pocket's a pocket. But these pants have three. They're all seam sealed to give you somewhere to stash items away from the rain" — three waterproof pockets provide secure storage for essentials. Washing
Machine wash cold with like colors. The GORE-TEX 3L membrane and DWR coating require gentle care to maintain their waterproof performance. Use a technical wash cleaner designed for GORE-TEX garments. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents, which can damage the membrane and the seam-sealed construction.
Drying
Tumble dry low or hang dry. The GORE-TEX 3L benefits from occasional tumble drying on low heat to reactivate the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating. Avoid high heat, which can damage the membrane and the seam-sealed construction.
DWR Reapplication
To restore the water-repellent finish after extensive washing, use a technical fabric DWR spray or wash-in treatment designed for GORE-TEX. The treatment creates a water-shedding layer on the outer fabric that helps maintain the waterproof performance over the life of the pants. Reapply after every 5-10 washes for optimal performance.
Storage
Store hanging or folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing in damp conditions, as moisture can compromise the GORE-TEX membrane. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of the Hyper Royal/Summit White colorway and degradation of the DWR coating.
