The stretch content moves with the body during high-reach movements, scrambles, and pack-lift carries, while the lightweight construction keeps the pants easy to compress into a pack when the trail warms up.
Side Panels for Natural Flex

Machine Wash
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Turn the pants inside-out before washing to protect the DWR finish and the woven surface. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents, which can strip the water-repellent finish and break down the spandex in the stretch panels. Close all zippers before washing to prevent the pocket zippers from snagging on the fabric.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry. The nylon-spandex blend dries quickly on its own — air drying is recommended to extend the life of the DWR finish, the spandex recovery, and the bungee adjusters. Avoid high heat, which can damage the DWR treatment, weaken the elastic in the bungee adjusters, and degrade the woven fabric structure.
DWR Refresh
The DWR finish will wear off over time and with washing. Refresh the treatment periodically with a spray-on re-proofing product designed for technical woven fabrics. A well-maintained DWR keeps light rain beading on the surface; if water stops beading and starts soaking into the fabric, the DWR needs refreshing.
UV Protection Care
The built-in UVA + UVB protection is permanent in the fabric and won't wash out, but stretched-out fabric reduces the protection level. Maintain the spandex recovery by washing on gentle cycles and air drying when possible. A stretched-out pant lets more UV through the fabric, so replace the pants if the spandex has lost its snap.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Hang dry or fold loosely to maintain the spandex recovery and prevent creasing at the side panels. Avoid storing the pants in damp conditions, which can degrade the DWR finish and the bungee adjuster hardware over time.
