Cleaning After Trail Runs
After dusty or muddy runs, rinse off loose dirt with lukewarm water and a soft brush before the mud dries and clogs the lug pattern. Avoid harsh detergents — they can strip the upper's DWR treatment if present.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources. Remove insoles and loosen laces to allow airflow through the toebox — direct heat (radiator, dryer) damages both midsole rebound and upper adhesives.
FriXion® Blue Outsole Maintenance
Periodically clean the lugs to remove packed mud and small stones that reduce traction. The AT 2.0 compound is softer than the Red compound — expect more even wear but check lug depth more frequently on long-distance efforts.
Cushioning Stack Care
The maximum-cushioning stack relies on consistent midsole geometry for its ride feel. Avoid leaving the shoes in hot cars or direct sun — prolonged heat exposure degrades EVA rebound properties and permanently reduces cushioning response.
Ortholite® Hybrid™ Insole Care
Remove insoles regularly to air out and wash them per the Ortholite® care guide. Replacement insoles are available when the originals lose cushioning or odor control after extended use.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Stuff with paper or use a shoe tree to maintain shape during multi-week training blocks.
Vegan Material Note
This shoe contains no animal-derived materials. Do not apply leather conditioners or waxes — these products are formulated for leather and can damage the synthetic upper.
