The G-Summit is the new benchmark for high altitude technical mountaineering, developed to satisfy two needs: to be an extremely warm single boot for high altitude mountaineering, and to be a lightweight and precise double boot for extended expeditions in highly challenging climates. With its unique removable liner and thermal insole, the G-Summit is a customizable product based on the requirements of the user and the terrain/conditions of intended use.

Cleaning

Brush off dirt, snow, and ice with a stiff bristle brush after each outing. Wipe the abrasion-resistant fabric upper and TPU mudguard shield with lukewarm water; air-dry before storage. Do not machine wash the outer boot.

Liner Drying

Remove the inner boot after every use if the optional double-boot configuration is in use. Loosen the BOA® M4 dial fully and open the weatherproof zipper to allow airflow. Dry at room temperature away from direct heat — never use radiators or boot dryers above 30 °C, which can damage the Core-Wrap™ insulation and the 3 mm thermo-reflective PE + EVA liner.

BOA® Dial Care

Keep the BOA® M4 dial free of ice, snow, and grit. If the dial sticks in extreme cold, brush gently with a soft bristle brush — do not force rotation or apply lubricant, which can damage the dial mechanism. Inspect the BOA® lace cable periodically for fraying.

Crampon Inspection

Inspect the TPU inserts before each outing — verify your front and rear crampon bail/clip points engage firmly. The TPU inserts are visible at the toe and heel welt and are critical for secure crampon attachment on ice and glacial terrain.

Waterproofing Refresh

Periodically apply a spray-on DWR treatment designed for high-altitude mountaineering boots to revive repellency on the abrasion-resistant fabric upper and weatherproof zipper.

Resoling

The G-Summit is resoleable — extend the life of the boot well beyond the original outsole by having resoling done by a qualified cobbler familiar with mountaineering boots and Vibram® Ice-Tech™ tread patterns.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Insert boot shapers or stuff lightly with paper to hold shape. Keep the BOA® M4 dial fully released and the weatherproof zipper open to preserve the closure mechanism and allow residual moisture to evaporate.
