Far Out Unisex Splitboard Snowboard Binding

Every splitboarder knows the best turns usually aren't found inside the resort boundaries — the K2 Far Out splitboard binding is built to help you access your favorite backcountry terrain and minimize the time spent transitioning to and from split and descent modes. The mid-to-stiff flexing aluminum chassis is solid and CNC machined with the maximum number of cutouts to keep weight to an absolute minimum. The highback is made from tough and durable Lexan and easily flips between tour mode and descent mode with the push of a lever for comfort on the skin track. While in split mode, the bindings can be locked down in just seconds for tricky descents by sliding the heel lock into place and released quickly when it's time to keep climbing. The Sender™ 3D ankle strap is pad-less yet highly comfortable and cuts energy-sapping ounces to get you further into the mountains. The PerfectFit™ 2.0 toe strap hinges to adjust to any snowboard boot shape for maximum response and feel, and both straps feature CamLock™ for tool-less adjustment.

Splitboard Aluminum Chassis
Mid-to-stiff flexing aluminum chassis is solid and CNC machined with the maximum number of cutouts to keep weight to an absolute minimum. Provides responsive energy transfer on the descent while keeping the binding light enough for the skin track.
Drop Back For Touring + Heel Lock
The highback easily flips between tour mode and descent mode with the push of a lever. While in split mode, the bindings can be locked down in just seconds for tricky descents by sliding the heel lock into place, then released quickly when it's time to keep climbing. Minimizes time spent transitioning.
Sender™ 3D Ankle Strap
Pad-less yet highly comfortable — cuts energy-sapping ounces to get you further into the mountains. Lightweight design reduces boot weight without sacrificing support or response.
PerfectFit™ 2.0 Toe Strap
Hinges to adjust to any snowboard boot shape for maximum response and feel. Adapts to a wide range of boot sizes and fits without compromising security or response.
CamLock™ Centering (Both Straps)
Both ankle and toe straps feature K2's CamLock™ for tool-less adjustment. Quick, on-the-fly tightening or loosening without needing to dig out a tool from the pack.
Lexan Highback
Tough and durable Lexan construction — provides responsive support for the descent while standing up to the wear of touring. Easy to operate with the push of a lever.
Pivot Towers + Heel Risers Included
The Far Out comes equipped with pivot towers and heel risers — everything needed for efficient touring. Pivot towers enable the highback to flip easily, and heel risers help on the skin track when traversing or booting.

Sizing Note
Standard binding size run. S, M, L fit a broad range of boot sizes — consult the K2 size chart for exact boot compatibility. Splitboard bindings fit based on boot size, not rider weight.
Size Best For
S Smaller boot sizes (US Women's 5–7.5 / Men's 4–6.5)
M Mid-range boot sizes (US Women's 8–10.5 / Men's 7–9.5)
L Larger boot sizes (US Men's 10–13)
Strap Care
The Sender™ 3D ankle strap and PerfectFit™ 2.0 toe strap are designed for long-term durability. Inspect periodically for wear and replace if needed. CamLock™ tensioners should be kept clear of ice and snow — tap after each run.
Highback + Chassis Care
The Lexan highback and Splitboard Aluminum chassis are built to handle backcountry abuse. Wipe off dust and grime with a damp cloth after riding. The aluminum chassis may benefit from occasional lubrication of the pivot points for smooth tour ↔ descent transitions.
Tour Mode Maintenance
The Drop Back mechanism and heel lock need to be in good condition for safe backcountry riding. Periodically test both the highback flip and the heel lock engagement before each tour. Check for ice or wear that could prevent proper operation.
Storage
Store the bindings in a cool, dry place between sessions. For long-term storage, leave the highback in tour mode (released) so the lever isn't under tension. The aluminum chassis should be kept free of corrosion — dry completely after riding in wet conditions.
