Made out of T-6061 Aluminum, the K2 Far Out Crampon is lightweight and sturdy as heck. Designed to climb in the alpine, the Far Out Crampon works directly with K2's Far Out Splitboard binding on narrow-to-normal specific splitboards. The Standard Width version (130mm) is specifically built for standard-width splitboards — use it to confidently climb steep, icy, or hard-pack terrain where foot traction is critical. Only works when in split/tour mode — don't use while snowboarding, that doesn't seem that fun.

T-6061 Aluminum Construction
Lightweight and sturdy as heck — T-6061 Aluminum delivers the strength needed for serious alpine climbing without adding excessive weight to your splitboard setup.
Direct Far Out Binding Compatibility
Engineered to work seamlessly with K2's Far Out Splitboard binding on standard-width splitboards. Mounts directly without modifications.
130mm Standard Width
Built for use with Standard Width Snowboards (130mm binding width). The proper match for narrow-to-normal specific splitboards in K2's lineup.
Alpine Climbing Traction
Provides critical foot traction on steep, icy, or hard-pack terrain where boot grip matters — essential for splitboard missions in challenging conditions.
Tour Mode Only
"Only works when in split/tour mode — don't use while snowboarding, that doesn't seem that fun." Remove for descents — use only for climbs and traverses.
K2/Voile Speed Rail Compatible
*Only compatible with the K2/Voile Speed Rail binding system. Not compatible with pin-system touring brackets — verify your splitboard setup before purchase.

Aluminum Care
T-6061 Aluminum naturally resists corrosion but should be dried after use in wet or icy conditions. Wipe clean before storage to extend the life of the crampon teeth and binding interface.
Binding Interface Care
Keep the mounting points clean and free of ice/snow for reliable attachment. Check the interface with the Far Out binding or Speed Rail system periodically for wear.
Inspection
Inspect crampon teeth regularly for wear or damage — sharp teeth are essential for solid grip on icy terrain. Replace the crampon if teeth become significantly worn.
Storage
Store in a dry place when not in use. The crampon can be left mounted on the splitboard when in tour mode, or removed and stored separately for travel.
