Mini Bugout

The Mini Bugout takes the proven ultralight EDC formula of the Bugout and shrinks it down to its most pocket-friendly form. At just 1.5 ounces with a sub-half-inch handle profile and a compact 2.82" blade, it's the folder that disappears in slacks, dress shirts, and small pockets where a full-size folder would print or weigh you down. The ambidextrous AXIS lock deploys the blade with the same smooth, confident action as its full-size sibling, and the reversible deep-carry clip keeps the knife tucked low and out of sight. Made in Benchmade's Oregon City facility and backed by the LifeSharp lifetime service program, the Mini Bugout is built for the carry-every-day, forget-it's-there philosophy.

Compact Pocket Profile
Handle thickness of just 0.412" (10.46 mm) and a 3.7" closed length. Sits flat against the body for low-bulk carry in jeans, slacks, dress shirts, and small EDC pouches.
AXIS Lock Mechanism
Benchmade's ambidextrous AXIS lock uses spring-loaded assist bars for smooth, consistent one-handed opening and secure lockup. Fully ambidextrous for left- and right-handed users.
Drop-Point Blade
2.82" drop-point profile balances tip control and belly for everyday cutting tasks — boxes, letters, rope, packaging, and field utility. Same versatile geometry as the full-size Bugout, scaled down.
Mini Deep-Carry Pocket Clip

Cleaning
Wipe the blade and handle with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For deeper cleaning, rinse under warm water with mild soap, then dry thoroughly — especially the pivot area and lock interfaces. Avoid prolonged moisture exposure.
Lubrication
Apply a small drop of light machine oil or knife-specific lubricant (such as Benchmade's BlueLube) to the AXIS lock bar interfaces and pivot every few months — or after cleaning. This keeps deployment smooth and prevents grit buildup in the lock mechanism.
Sharpening
The Mini Bugout is covered by Benchmade's LifeSharp program: free lifetime professional sharpening, cleaning, oiling, and re-calibration. Send it in or visit any authorized Benchmade dealer. For home maintenance, use quality diamond or ceramic stones at the manufacturer's recommended angle; the AXIS lock makes full disassembly safe and straightforward.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry environment. The Mini Bugout ships with a reversible pocket clip — remove the clip before long-term storage if you want to preserve spring tension. Avoid leather sheaths for long-term storage in humid climates (leather retains moisture).

Components:

All component items (wheels, drivetrains, suspension, brakes, etc.) ship within 4-7 business days of purchase.

Bicycles:

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

Riding Gear & Apparel:

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 3-10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
