Wipe the blade and carbon fiber handle with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly — especially the pivot area and lock interfaces. The carbon fiber handle is durable but the matte finish can show oils and fingerprints; a microfiber cloth works well for keeping it clean.
Lubrication
Apply a small drop of light machine oil or knife-specific lubricant (such as Benchmade's BlueLube) to the AXIS lock bar interfaces and pivot every few months — or after cleaning. The thicker blade and hard-use positioning of the Mini Adamas mean regular lubrication helps maintain the smooth action under demanding conditions.
