Designed for processing the catch — filleting, deboning, and breaking down fish from the day's haul — the Fishcrafter is Benchmade's purpose-built fish-processing fixed blade. The signature trailing-point blade geometry creates an upswept tip and a long, curved cutting edge optimized for the long sweeping strokes that follow a fish's spine from tail to head, separating the fillet cleanly from the ribcage in a single pass. The thin 0.09" blade profile and 7" cutting edge deliver the flex and reach needed to glide along bones and under skin with minimal waste — leaving clean, presentation-ready fillets behind. At 2.84 ounces with a contoured, grippy handle and corrosion-resistant construction for saltwater and freshwater use, the Fishcrafter rides light on the belt through long cleaning sessions at the cleaning table or on the boat. Paired with a molded belt sheath for safe carry and quick access, it's the kind of purpose-built blade that disappears into the work until the fillets are off. Made in Benchmade's Oregon City facility and backed by the LifeSharp lifetime service program.

Cleaning
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after exposure to saltwater — salt is the enemy of any knife, even corrosion-resistant ones. Wipe the blade and handle with a soft, damp cloth after each use — especially after fish processing, where fish slime and residue should be cleaned promptly to prevent corrosion and staining. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.
Sheath Care
The molded sheath is low-maintenance by design. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed; rinse and dry thoroughly. Molded sheaths don't require conditioning the way leather sheaths do, and they're resistant to weather, fish slime, and field oils. Inspect the retention and belt-loop attachment periodically for wear.
Sharpening
The Fishcrafter is covered by Benchmade's LifeSharp program: free lifetime professional sharpening, cleaning, oiling, and re-calibration. Send it in or visit any authorized Benchmade dealer. For field maintenance, use quality diamond or ceramic stones at the manufacturer's recommended angle — the long, thin trailing-point geometry sharpens easily with standard guided systems and rewards frequent touch-ups during long cleaning sessions.
Storage
Store the Fishcrafter clean and dry, ideally in its sheath for protection. After a day on the water, rinse with fresh water, dry thoroughly, and lightly oil the blade before storage. Avoid storing in damp environments (boat lockers, tackle bags, vehicle trunks) for long periods — even corrosion-resistant steel benefits from dry storage.

Components:

All component items (wheels, drivetrains, suspension, brakes, etc.) ship within 4-7 business days of purchase.

Bicycles:

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

Riding Gear & Apparel:

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 3-10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
