BCA Dozer™ 2H-S Avalanche Shovel

The Dozer 2H-S is the Swiss Army Knife of our shovels, featuring both hoe mode and a 9-inch saw stowed in the shaft. A favorite for snowmobilers cutting through wood limbs and those who perform snow stability tests.

6061 Aluminum Blade/Shaft
The 6061 aluminum blade and shaft balance strength, durability, and packable weight.
Extendable T-Grip
The extendable T-grip provides a compact packed shape and additional digging length.
Flat stomp edge blade
The flat upper blade edge provides a place to apply boot pressure in firm snow.
Hoe Mode
Hoe mode converts the tool for fast pulling and snow removal around snowmobiles or work areas.
Snow Saw
An integrated saw stores in the shaft for cutting snow-test columns or small wood limbs.

Assembly & Locking Check
Practice switching between shovel and hoe modes and verify that both configurations lock securely. Inspect the integrated saw and its shaft storage interface; clean and dry the teeth after use.
Blade, Shaft & Grip Inspection
Check the blade for cracks or deformation and inspect the ovo-concave shaft, grip, holes, and locking points. Do not rely on a shovel with damaged or loose components for avalanche rescue.
Cleaning & Corrosion Prevention
Remove packed snow and grit after use, then dry the blade, shaft, grip, and joints completely. Avoid harsh chemicals and direct heat that could damage handle components or surface finishes.
Storage & Practice
Store the shovel disassembled or compacted as designed, with moving joints free of ice. Practice efficient shoveling and snowmobile recovery techniques as appropriate; rescue tools require regular hands-on training.
