Völkl Racetiger SL R Jr. Skis with WC Plate

The Racetiger SL R Jr. with WC Plate is a dedicated junior slalom ski for stronger U12 and U14 racers. Two full Titanal layers and an additional glass layer create the torsional support and dampness needed for hard, fast course conditions. A torsionally softer tip helps the shovel engage precisely, while the included 10 mm Marker World Cup Interface plate elevates the binding and supports direct power transfer. Bindings are not included.

Junior Slalom Construction
Two full Titanal layers and an additional glass layer provide the stability and edge support required by developing race athletes.
Torsional Soft Tip
A more torsionally compliant shovel promotes direct, precise tip response without softening the entire ski.
World Cup Interface Plate
The included 10 mm Marker plate creates a race-oriented binding interface and supports efficient power transfer.
Race-Ready Base and Finish
P-Tex 4504, Zebra Structure, and Serial Finish provide a fast, precisely prepared foundation for slalom training and competition.

Binding Setup

Drying and Daily Care
Wipe snow and moisture from the skis after each day on the mountain. Dry the topsheets, sidewalls, edges, and binding interfaces thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged storage on wet vehicle racks or in a sealed ski bag.
Base and Edge Maintenance
Inspect the bases and edges regularly for scratches, core shots, burrs, rust, and edge separation. Have base damage repaired promptly and keep the edges properly tuned for current snow conditions. Wax the bases regularly with a wax suited to current snow conditions to maintain glide and help protect them from dryness.
Construction Inspection
Inspect the topsheet, sidewalls, core, and structural components for cracks, delamination, or impact damage. Pay particular attention to the Two full Titanal layers; additional glass layer; Torsional Soft Tip; Serial Finish. Do not ski on structural damage; have it assessed by a qualified ski technician before further use.
Race Tuning
Preserve the factory base and side-edge geometry unless a qualified race technician recommends a change. Keep a consistent tuning and waxing record, inspect the plate and mounting screws regularly, and avoid improvised filing or grinding that could alter ski performance.
Bindings
Have bindings mounted, adjusted, and release-tested by an authorized retailer for your boots, weight, ability, and skiing style. Do not ski with an unverified binding setup. Recheck the system after any binding, boot, or mounting change.
Off-Season Storage
Clean and dry the skis, tune away edge burrs, and apply a protective storage wax to the bases. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy loads. Avoid leaving the skis tightly strapped or compressed for extended periods.
