Shine 78 + Lowride 11 TCX Ski

This season, the new Shine 78 is the ideal option for female all-mountain skiers who prioritize fun on the slopes without compromising on comfort. Fast, agile, and eager to turn, it performs best in mixed to compact conditions on moderate slopes, showcasing maximum versatility. The newly installed Multilayer Woodcore, part of the redesign, ensures lower weight and additional pop. Switching from the foam core of the previous model to a full wood core enhances the ski's sportiness, provides more stability at higher speeds, and is also a significant step towards greater sustainability. Thanks to the 3D Radius Sidecut, the Shine 78 now impresses with outstanding agility, bringing a smile to the faces of those who love short, crisp turns. With the proven Lowride Integrated Binding System, the Shine 78 now also offers a wide, lightweight, and lower binding that further improves agility in tight turns and reduces effort when stepping in, thanks to the TCX heel unit. Identical in construction to its larger siblings Shine 80 and 82, the system was used for the first time on a ski under 80 mm. The direct integration into the wood core also ensures improved power transmission from the binding to the ski. The Marker LowRide 11 TCX binding on the iPT Lowride XL interface ships with the ski, with the railsystem integrated into the ski body, and must be mounted, adjusted and tested by an authorized retailer before use.

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum turning and speed. Long radii at the tip and tail deliver big turns and high speed with easy steering, while a tight center radius makes short turns and lower speeds extremely easy to initiate.
Steel Band
A steel band in the ski provides very good durability, controlled flex and smooth skiing at faster speeds.
3D Multilayer Woodcore
By combining different wood species and different wood constructions, an ideal balance of weight, strength, durability and damping is achieved. Stronger, heavier wood is positioned where power transmission, edge grip and torsional stability are required, while lighter, softer wood keeps the ski agile.
Lowride Integrated Binding System
A wide, lightweight and lower binding that improves agility in tight turns and reduces effort when stepping in, thanks to the TCX heel unit. The railsystem is integrated into the ski body for direct power transmission from the binding to the ski.
Tip & Tail Rocker
The ski bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle. This delivers easy turn initiation in both directions and a stable platform through the turn.
Full Sidewall ABS
ABS is a durable, resilient plastic known for its strength and impact resistance. These sidewalls allow for precise power transfer from the skier to the edges of the ski.
3D Glass
Three-dimensional, multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and tail increase edge grip and deliver more vivid rebound through turns.
P-Tex 2100 Sintered Base
A sintered, high-density, high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
Zebra Structure Base
A deep, high-definition base pattern tailored to narrower, system-mounted skis. It delivers lightning-fast, reliable turn initiation and smooth, controlled drifting for maximum carving performance.
Serial Finish
Straight from the factory to the mountain, the precision-crafted surface treatment maximizes glide, sharpens turn initiation and eliminates the need for additional prep work.

Binding Setup
The binding ships with the ski and the railsystem is integrated into the ski body. Because bindings must be properly set for each individual rider based on size, ability level and equipment, mounting, adjustment and testing must be completed by an authorized retailer before use.
Waxing
Apply temperature-appropriate wax before the first run of the season and throughout the season as conditions change. Scrape and polish the base after each day on snow and keep it free of dirt and road salt.
Edge Care
Edges are set at the factory. Have them checked, sharpened and detuned as they dull through the season, and protect them with guards whenever the skis are not in use.
Storage
Store the skis dry and at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep them in a padded bag or on a rack with the edges protected.
