Völkl Racetiger DH R WC FIS Flat Skis

The Racetiger DH R WC FIS is purpose-built for FIS downhill competition in the U18 and U21 segments. Its World Cup ash core, four full Titanal layers, and flat shovel are engineered around stability at downhill speeds. Every length uses a 50 m radius, while sidewall construction varies by length. The ski is sold flat and without factory structure or finish so the plate, bindings, mount, base, and edges can all be prepared to the athlete’s exact requirements.

Downhill-Specific Construction
Four full Titanal layers and the World Cup ash core provide maximum damping and support for downhill course demands.
Fifty-Meter Radius
All three lengths use a 50 m radius for the long, stable geometry required in downhill competition.
Specialized Shovel Shape
A flat shovel and tip rocker are designed around downhill engagement and high-speed tracking.
Fully Custom Race Preparation
The flat, unfinished ski allows an authorized race technician to determine the complete plate, binding, base, and edge setup.

Binding Setup

Drying and Daily Care
Wipe snow and moisture from the skis, plate interfaces, and edges after every training or race session. Dry everything thoroughly with a soft cloth and avoid prolonged storage in a sealed bag or on a wet vehicle rack.
Race Base and Edge Preparation
Inspect the bases and edges for impact damage, burrs, rust, and edge separation. Have a qualified race technician establish and maintain base structure, wax selection, and edge angles for the athlete and course. Do not alter factory edge angles without an intentional tuning plan.
Construction Inspection
Check the topsheet, sidewalls, edges, core, and Titanal-related structural areas for cracks, delamination, or deformation after hard impacts. Remove damaged skis from use until an authorized race technician has assessed them.
Plate and Binding System
Inspect the race plate and mounting screws regularly for looseness, damage, or contamination. Plate and binding mounting, boot-sole verification, adjustment, and release testing must be performed by an authorized race technician. Recheck the complete system after any boot, plate, binding, or mounting change.
Closed-Course Use
These race skis should be used only within their intended athlete category, course environment, and applicable competition rules. Confirm length, radius, plate, binding, and setup compliance with the athlete’s coach or race technician before competition.
Off-Season Storage
Clean and dry the skis, have the edges inspected, and apply protective storage wax to the bases. Store them in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heaters, and heavy loads, with the binding system checked again before the next season.
