Völkl Katana V-Werks Skis

A long-time favorite of Völkl’s professional big-mountain riders, the Katana V-Werks combines exceptionally low weight with confident downhill performance. Its 112 mm waist and full-rocker profile deliver flotation, easy pivoting, and a surfy feel in deep snow, while 3D.Ridge construction and a full carbon jacket provide the torsional strength and composure needed for aggressive freeriding. Built as a premium one-quiver option for advanced and expert skiers, it moves comfortably between powder, big-mountain lines, freeride terrain, and backcountry tours.

Lightweight V-Werks Construction
Full carbon jacket delivers high strength and torsional rigidity with minimal weight · Lightweight multilayer wood core supports an energetic, responsive feel · Engineered to reduce swing weight without sacrificing downhill performance
3D.Ridge
A raised central ridge reinforces the ski while allowing thinner construction toward the edges · Designed to improve power transmission, stability, and responsiveness · Helps keep weight low through the tip and tail
Big-Mountain Shape
143 / 112 / 132 mm sidecut provides substantial flotation and a stable platform · Full rocker promotes easy turn initiation, pivoting, and soft-snow maneuverability · Moderate taper supports controlled release and predictable handling in variable terrain
Touring-Ready Details
Low overall weight supports freeride touring and backcountry use · Smart Skinclip allows quick, secure attachment of compatible climbing skins · ICE.OFF topsheet is designed to reduce snow and ice buildup
Premium Finishing
Center sidewall construction supports direct power transfer and edge grip · Sintered P-Tex 4504 base delivers fast glide and durable performance · Bindings are not included and must be mounted, adjusted, and tested by an authorized retailer before use

Binding Setup
Mounting, adjustment, and testing by an authorized retailer are required before use
Drying and Daily Care
Wipe snow and moisture from the skis after each day on the mountain. Dry the topsheets, sidewalls, edges, and binding interfaces thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged storage on wet vehicle racks or in a sealed ski bag.
Base and Edge Maintenance
Inspect the bases and edges regularly for scratches, core shots, burrs, rust, and edge separation. Have base damage repaired promptly and keep the edges properly tuned for the snow conditions. Wax the sintered bases regularly to maintain glide and help prevent base dryness.
Carbon and Sidewall Inspection
Check the carbon construction, raised ridge, topsheet, and center sidewalls for cracks, delamination, or impact damage. Do not ski on structural damage; have it assessed by a qualified ski technician before further use.
Bindings and Touring Hardware
Have bindings mounted, adjusted, and release-tested by an authorized retailer for your boots, weight, ability, and skiing style. Inspect Smart Skinclip components for wear and keep skin-attachment areas free of snow, ice, and debris.
Off-Season Storage
Clean and dry the skis, tune away edge burrs, and apply a protective storage wax to the bases. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy loads. Avoid leaving the skis tightly strapped or compressed for extended periods.

Passion drives us

At SpokeX Bike Co., bikes aren't just our business — they’re our way of life. As a rider-owned and operated shop, every decision we make comes from firsthand experience on the trail, at the race, and on the open road. We know what it’s like to chase a new line, push through the pain cave, and celebrate the ride — because we live it every day.
