Ride Smokescreen Snowboard

The Ride Smokescreen Snowboard is designed for all mountain riding with a mellow response. The Smokescreen is catered to the rider who wants to take their all-mountain skills to the next level without sacrificing anything in engineering innovation. The Directional Standard Camber board comes equipped with Tapered Elliptical Progressive Sidecut to smooth out turns initiated with speed and Slimewalls® to reduce vibration and dampen all the conditions that Mother Nature can throw your way. A Sintered, Stone Ground base sucks up wax to keep you mobbing all winter and Carbon Array 3™ gives you plenty of pop if there’s an obstacle you prefer to ollie instead of going around it. This board is all the smoke in every way and it’s ripe for the rippin’ this winter.

Profile, Shape & Sidecut
Standard Camber Profile: Slight traditional camber zone translating to a more responsive feel while not being overpowering. Directional: Designed to be ridden in one direction. More nose than tail, set back stance, and a sidecut to match. Can you still ride it switch? Yeah, of course. Is it going to be as good riding switch all day long? Probably not.
Sidewall & Core
Slimewalls®: RIDE’s exclusive Slimewalls™ are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls™ smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. Roll-In Construction: Unique 3D structure built around our urethane Slimewall® sidewalls. Designed to increase overall board strength, prevent topsheet chipping, and reduce weight. Also includes Performance™.
Laminates & Fiberglass
Double Impact Plates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double. Carbon Array™ 3: This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Also includes Hybrid Glass.
Base & Edge Construction
Sintered 4000 Base: High-end sintered 4000 Ptex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded. Stone Ground: The absolute best way to finish building a snowboard. Nice and flat base, no weird bumps or extra material. Stone ground is the way to go, ask your local tune shop. Also includes Standard Topsheet.
Materials & Sustainability
Wend® Meadowfoam Biodegradable Wax: The Meadowfoam® factory wax we use is made from wildflower seeds native to California and Oregon. All WEND® Meadowfoam® snow wax blends are non-toxic and completely biodegradable. 30% Recycled Steel Edges: Everyone knows about recycling, but nobody thinks about it when it comes to snowboard edges. Hell, do people even think about their snowboard edges? Luckily for you we’re thinking of both. Edges on RIDE Snowboards contain 30% recycled materials. Also includes FSC® Certified Paper Packaging · 44% Solar Production Energy.

After Riding
Wipe snow and moisture from the Smokescreen after each session, including the topsheet, edges, insert area, and base. Let the board dry completely before placing it in a bag or storing it.
Base and Edge Maintenance
Inspect the base for scratches, core shots, and dryness, and check the edges for burrs, rust, cracks, or impact damage. Wax the base regularly and have significant base or edge damage repaired by a qualified snowboard technician.
Binding and Insert Checks
Check mounting screws and discs before riding and retighten them with the correct tool if needed. Do not overtighten the screws, and keep snow and grit out of the insert threads. Confirm that straps, highbacks, and stance settings remain secure.
Impact Inspection
After a hard impact, examine the topsheet, sidewalls, tip, tail, and edge bond for cracks, delamination, or deformation. Stop using the board until structural damage has been assessed.
Storage
Clean and dry the board, then store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy stacked loads. Loosen binding straps for long-term storage and apply a protective storage wax during the off-season.
