Ride Kink Snowboard

The Ride Kink Snowboard is designed for park riding with a mellow response. The Kink is a street machine. Designed with a focus on predictability and durability for urban and park riding, the KINK is at home on handrails and jibs. The Kink is the board of choice for Jed Anderson and many team riders riding in the street or cruising the rail line on-hill. The Extra Camber profile has camber underfoot for pop and smooth turn initiation with a minimal amount of rocker at the tip for predictable catch-free performance. A Quadratic Sidecut provides predictability and edge hold. Slim Walls and Cleave Edge™ provide a smoother ride and even stronger durability than ever before. The Kink is a board designed for modern freestyle and street performance.

Profile, Shape & Sidecut
Extra Camber: More camber! A higher rise camber that gives the board a snappy, lively, and responsive feel. Twin: Great for going both directions, same shape on the nose and tail of the board. Great for park riding, going switch, or just looking nice. Quadratic: Blending of three radii to improve turn initiation/exit while providing the best grip possible. This design is uniquely formulated for each model based on its shape and riding style.
Sidewall & Core
Slim Walls: RIDE's Slim Wall technology is the evolution of our Roll-in Construction to its extreme limit. By creating a fully 3-D composite structure over Slimewall® material, this revolutionary technology results in more efficient energy transfer, lighter weig… Foundation Core: Tip-to-tail Aspen wood core with proven durability that retains pop and flex.
Laminates & Fiberglass
Double Impact Plates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double. Biaxial: 90° and 0° angles, fun and forgiving.
Base & Edge Construction
Extruded Base: The industry standard extruded 1500 Ptex base material. Good wax absorption and easy to repair. Stone Ground: The absolute best way to finish building a snowboard. Nice and flat base, no weird bumps or extra material. Stone ground is the way to go, ask your local tune shop. Also includes Cleave Edge.
Materials & Sustainability
Wend® Meadowfoam Biodegradable Wax: The Meadowfoam® factory wax we use is made from wildflower seeds native to California and Oregon. All WEND® Meadowfoam® snow wax blends are non-toxic and completely biodegradable. 30% Recycled Steel Edges: Everyone knows about recycling, but nobody thinks about it when it comes to snowboard edges. Hell, do people even think about their snowboard edges? Luckily for you we’re thinking of both. Edges on RIDE Snowboards contain 30% recycled materials. Also includes FSC® Certified Paper Packaging · 44% Solar Production Energy · FSC® Certified Mix Cores.

After Riding
Wipe snow and moisture from the Kink after each session, including the topsheet, edges, insert area, and base. Let the board dry completely before placing it in a bag or storing it.
Base and Edge Maintenance
Inspect the base for scratches, core shots, and dryness, and check the edges for burrs, rust, cracks, or impact damage. Wax the base regularly and have significant base or edge damage repaired by a qualified snowboard technician.
Binding and Insert Checks
Check mounting screws and discs before riding and retighten them with the correct tool if needed. Do not overtighten the screws, and keep snow and grit out of the insert threads. Confirm that straps, highbacks, and stance settings remain secure.
Impact Inspection
After a hard impact, examine the topsheet, sidewalls, tip, tail, and edge bond for cracks, delamination, or deformation. Stop using the board until structural damage has been assessed.
Storage
Clean and dry the board, then store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heaters, and heavy stacked loads. Loosen binding straps for long-term storage and apply a protective storage wax during the off-season.
