Marauder Splitboard Package

Built as a workhorse to access any backcountry zone, the Marauder Splitboard Package pairs the BAP Core with ICG™ 10 Biaxially Woven Fiberglass with Carbon for stability and snap on both the ascent and descent. Sintered P-Tex sidewalls add durability and damp feel without extra weight, the matte topsheet keeps skin-track cruising light, and the Sintered 4000 base handles the abuse of alpine touring. The package ships with Voile-style binding mount pucks, mounting hardware, and pre-cut Pomoca™ 70/30 Mohair Blend skins — everything needed to access untracked terrain via the skin track. Pairs perfectly with the K2 Far Out splitboard binding and K2 Swiftstick 3-piece collapsible pole (both sold separately).

BAP Core
A tri-blend wood core of Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia — all sustainably harvested. The bamboo delivers rebound and strength, the aspen adds reliable feel, and the paulownia keeps the overall weight low for easier skinning and predictable response on the descent.
ICG™ 10 Biax Fiberglass with Carbon
Biaxially woven fiberglass integrated with tip-to-tail carbon stringers. Gives the Marauder stability and snap on both the ascent and descent — carbon adds liveliness without extra weight or excess torsional rigidity, ideal for the dual demands of skinning and riding.
Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls
Durable, smooth, and damp feel that helps reduce overall manufacturing waste. The P-Tex sidewall construction handles the abuse of backcountry touring — rock encounters on the skin track, icy traverses, and frozen boot pack — without compromising the board's flex.
Sintered 4000 Base with Black Repair Surface
A rugged, durable sintered 4000 base that retains wax for long alpine days. The black material along the riding surface is engineered for seamless P-Tex repairs after rock encounters — invisible patches and quick fixes in the field.
Splitrack™ Mounting System
K2's splitboard-specific mounting pattern with built-in hooks and latches that lock the board halves together for descent and release for ascent. The Splitrack interface works seamlessly with Voile-style binding pucks for stable, reliable touring and riding transitions.
Complete Touring Package
The Marauder ships as a complete backcountry kit: pre-cut Pomoca™ 70/30 Mohair Blend climbing skins, Voile-style binding mount pucks, and all mounting hardware. Pair with the K2 Far Out splitboard binding and K2 Swiftstick 3-piece collapsible pole (both sold separately) for a complete touring setup.
Lightweight Matte Topsheet
A tough-as-nails matte topsheet material that helps keep the overall board weight down — important for long skin-track days when every gram counts. The matte finish resists scratches and hides minor wear from touring use.

Waxing
Wax every few riding days or any time the base looks dry, white, or slow. The Sintered 4000 base retains wax well — hot wax preferred for full saturation, rub-on for quick field top-ups. The stone finish speeds absorption. For long alpine days, an extra waxing before the trip helps the base hold speed across varied conditions.
Base Repairs
The black material along the riding surface is engineered for seamless P-Tex repairs. Rock encounters on the skin track or descent are inevitable in the backcountry — keep P-Tex candles on hand and patch promptly to prevent water damage to the core. Match the black repair material for invisible fixes.
Edge Tuning
Sharpen edges with a file or stone when they feel dull, after hitting rocks, or at the start of each season. For backcountry touring, file the contact points slightly less aggressively than a pure resort board to avoid catching on skin track traverses and frozen boot pack.
Skin Care
The pre-cut Pomoca™ 70/30 Mohair Blend skins are durable but need basic care: keep them clean, dry them thoroughly before storage, and reapply skin glue when grip weakens. Replace skins when fibers are bald or glue has permanently lost tack.
Splitboard Care
Inspect the Splitrack™ hooks and latches before every tour — they need to lock securely for the descent. Wax the Splitrack interface periodically with interface wax to keep the halves from grabbing on the skin track. Store the board closed (or assembled) in a board bag to protect the Splitrack edges from damage.
