Afterblack Men's Snowboard

Taking the strongest parts of its previous existence and evolving — the all-new Afterblack was engineered for serious durability with a focus on classic freestyle flex and feel, plus modern maneuverability. Co-developed with K2 Pro rider Mark Wilson across tip & tail shape, sidecut radius, blend zone, and camber profile. A mid-flexing true-twin with Combination Camber (camber between the bindings, rocker outside) for a playful feel that still holds speed and tracks straight into the next feature. The tri-blend BAP Core blends Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia for snap and rebound with vibration damping on hard landings. Tip-to-tail Triax Fiberglass and Carbon Darkweb™ stringers add stability and edge control for popping off lips and sending big side hits.

BAP Core
A tri-blend wood core of Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia — all sustainably harvested. The bamboo delivers rebound and strength, the aspen adds reliable feel, and the paulownia keeps the overall weight low while dampening vibration on harsh landings.
Combination Camber Profile
Camber between the inserts for power, pop, and tracking; rocker outside the bindings adds a loose, pivoty feel for presses and freestyle maneuvers. The combo keeps the board playful but stable enough to hold speed into features.
Carbon Darkweb™
Carbon stringers running edge-to-edge underfoot, reducing the distance between edge transitions for fast response and edge control. Adds the pop and stability needed for popping off lips and sending big side hits.
Triax Fiberglass
Tip-to-tail triaxially woven fiberglass — diagonal layers that add torsional stiffness for increased stability and improved edge hold, while keeping a more responsive longitudinal feel.
True Twin Shape
Symmetrical outline and flex — the board rides the same forward or switch, perfect for freestyle riders who spin, press, and hit features from either direction.
Sintered 4000 Base
A durable sintered 4000 base that absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability. Stone finish for fast absorption and consistent speed across conditions.
Mark Wilson Pro Model
Co-developed with K2 Pro freestyle rider Mark Wilson. Wilson weighed in heavy on tip & tail shape, sidecut radius, blend zone, and camber profile — the second incarnation of the Afterblack is shaped for classic freestyle with modern maneuverability.

Waxing
Wax every few riding days or any time the base looks dry, white, or slow. The Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deeply — hot wax preferred for full saturation, rub-on for quick field top-ups. The stone finish speeds absorption.
Edge Tuning
Sharpen edges with a file or stone when they feel dull, after hitting rocks, or at the start of each season. The true twin shape supports switch riding, so detune the contact points symmetrically for a less catchy feel on rails and hardpack.
Storage
Store the board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep it in a board bag or sleeve to protect the topsheet and base from scratches during transport.
Repairs
Wipe the base clean after each use and dry before storing. Repair base scratches and core shots promptly to prevent water damage. The Carbon Darkweb stringers run underfoot — any binding-area core shot repairs should be done carefully to avoid the carbon.
Binding Mounting
The 2 x 4 insert pattern with centered stance geometry supports a true symmetrical mount for switch-friendly freestyle. Center the bindings around the mid-body for the classic true-twin feel Mark Wilson designed the board around.
