S-Works Phenom with Mirror
S-Works Phenom with Mirror
Gravel / XC / Trail / DH · Body Geometry · Mirror Technology · Carbon Rails

The S-Works Phenom with Mirror is the pinnacle of the Phenom line — the longest, flattest Mirror saddle Specialized makes at 27cm. It combines the proven Phenom shape (preferred by Tour Flanders winner Kasper Asgreen and World DH Champion Loïc Bruni) with the full Mirror treatment and an ultra-light carbon shell and rails. The result is the most comfortable, most capable off-road saddle in the world — with 28% less sit-bone pressure than foam.

  • 27cm Long / Flat Profile: Longest, flattest Mirror saddle — maximum freedom to move from nose to tail.
  • Mirror Technology: 20,055 struts / 8,735 nodes of 3D-printed liquid polymer — adaptive support, no foam deadness.
  • 28% Less Sit-Bone Pressure: Thicker Mirror lattice from concave shell = measurably less pressure vs. foam.
  • Carbon Fiber Shell: Flex-tuned for a precise balance of support and ride compliance.
  • Ultra-Light Oversized Carbon Rails: 7x9mm carbon rails — exceptionally light, exceptionally stiff.
  • SWAT™ Compatible: Integrated storage mounts built into the base — sleek, no added bulk.

Loïc Bruni, 6x Downhill World Champion: "I can move around the saddle with ease, and it's super comfortable and durable — a perfect fit for both my trail and DH bikes."

S-Works vs. Phenom Pro — Carbon vs. Reclaimed Nylon
The S-Works steps up from the Pro in three ways: full carbon fiber shell (vs. reclaimed carbon + nylon-injected), full carbon rails (vs. hollow titanium), and ~39-40g lighter (223g vs 262g at 143mm). The carbon shell is flex-tuned for a more precise ride quality, and the 7x9mm oversized rails save weight while providing excellent grip in the seat post. Note: the oversized 7x9mm carbon rails are NOT compatible with seat posts that have a side-load clamp mechanism for 7mm round rails — check your seat post before buying.
Soft Tissue Relief — The Science
Specialized's Body Geometry research includes pressure mapping, blind comfort studies, and what they describe diplomatically as "penile blood flow studies." The findings are consistent: the combination of a concave shell, supportive cutout, and Mirror lattice increases blood flow to sensitive arteries vs. traditional foam saddles. This isn't marketing — it's the foundational science behind every Body Geometry saddle.
SWAT Storage Integration
The S-Works Phenom has SWAT-compatible mounts molded into the saddle base — allowing sleek, integrated storage solutions like the SWAT Box or SWAT Tool Wrap. This keeps your essentials under the saddle without a bulky mount or strap, maintaining the clean look of a carbon race saddle while adding real utility on long rides.
