Specialized Roval Alpinist Cockpit II Description:

The Specialized Roval Alpinist Cockpit II utilizes Specialized's extensive carbon fiber know-how, Body Geometry anatomical knowledge, and thousands of Retül bike fits to craft a comfortable, featherlight, and responsive cockpit. This carbon fiber one-piece handlebar and stem combo is lighter in weight than an Alpinist handlebar paired with an Alpinist stem with the added benefit of being torsionally stiffer for confident handling plus has better aerodynamics at the handlebar/stem junction. A revised D-shape profile along the top section increases the available surface area for the hands to rest on for reduced pressure while also adding significantly more impact damping so there is far less rider fatigue when rolling over rougher road surfaces. A subtle 4-degree flare of the drops reduces forearm contact with the tops of the bars when riding down low, and this flare will enhance the control and steering precision of the bike especially when hitting fast downhill speeds. Add in subtle graphics, internal cable and hose routing, and pleasing aesthetics, and the Roval Alpinist Cockpit II represents a great comfort and performance upgrade for any road bike.

Features:

  • Premium one-piece handlebar and stem combo constructed out of high modulus carbon fiber to create a very comfortable, featherlight, and responsive cockpit
  • Ergonomic D-shaped top profile refined by data gathered through countless Retül and Body Geometry fits offers more surface area and potentially reduces the amount of grip pressure required on the bars to control the bike, resulting in less hand and forearm fatigue
  • Significantly more impact damping (compared to the Roval Rapide Cockpit) reduces strain on the riders arms, hands, and shoulders for extra comfort without impacting bike control and steering precision
  • Subtle 4-degree flare from the tops to the drops reduces forearm contact with the upper part of the handlebars when in the drops and adds additional leverage and control when rapidly descending and fighting cross winds
  • Textured brake/shift lever clamping zone reduces how tight the clamp has to be to keep the levers in place, and markings enable an easier set up of the lever positioning
  • Seamless internal cable and brake hose routing is compatible with electronic shifting from Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, and others
  • System weight limit: 275lbs (125kg)
