Not too warm, not too cold—that's the perfection the Pacaya 2.0 Insulated Vest brings to chillier active days. This movement-friendly and breathable layer features a 100% recycled shell and recycled insulation made from pre-consumer wool scraps that regulate heat when you're out exploring.

Reversible Two-Sided Construction

Wear it two ways: 100% recycled ripstop nylon wind-shell side (38 gsm) for active aerobic days, OR a softer recycled polyester/spandex fleece side (215 gsm) for casual wear. One garment, two distinct looks.

Recycled Wool Insulation

Imbotex Millefiori insulation made from 60% recycled low-melting polyester + 40% recycled wool (pre-consumer wool scraps) — regulates heat naturally, with wool's inherent odor-resistance and thermal buffering.

Packs Into Itself

Stuff the vest into its own pocket to compress for stashing in a pack. Packs down to roughly a softball size — perfect for variable-weather days when you don't know if you'll need it.

Dual Storage: Chest + Hand Pockets

Two zippered hand pockets plus an interior chest pocket — accessible whether you wear the nylon or fleece side out (chest pocket doubles as the stuff-sack).

Adjustable Hem

Drawcord hem seals out cold air at the waist — adjustable on the move without removing gloves or mittens.

Washing

Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, separately from regular laundry. Inside-out if possible to protect the ripstop nylon face. Use a mild detergent only — NO bleach, NO fabric softener.

Drying

Tumble dry low with 2 clean tennis balls (or dryer balls) to restore insulation loft. Air dry flat is acceptable but reduces fluffiness of the recycled wool insulation.

DWR Refresh

When water no longer beads on the ripstop nylon side, re-treat with a PFAS-free / C0 DWR spray (Nikwax TX.Direct or Granger's Extreme Repel). Apply to clean, dry garment. Heat-activated by tumble dry low for 15 min.

Ironing

Do not iron — direct heat melts the low-melt polyester insulation component.

Bleach

Do not bleach — destroys wool fibers and strips DWR finish permanently.

Dry Cleaning

Do not dry clean — solvents damage both the nylon ripstop and the recycled wool insulation.

Storage

Store loosely folded or hanging — never compress long-term in the stuff-sack (reduces insulation loft). Ensure garment is fully dry before storage to prevent mildew on wool content.

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 3-10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
