Component Breakdown
Step-On® Instant Connection™ System
"The Step On® Instant Connection™ System, the Astra delivers lightning-fast entry and exit" — the Step-On system uses 3 connection points (2 at the toe, 1 at the heel) to lock you into your bindings with a single step. No more fumbling with straps in the lift line — just step on and go. The system is designed to be just as secure and responsive as traditional strap bindings.
Lightning-Fast Entry and Exit
"Fast in. Fast out." — the Step-On system is the fastest way to get in and out of your bindings. Just step on to engage the 3 connection points, then pull the release lever to exit. The Astra is designed for the rider who values efficiency and convenience without sacrificing the security and performance of a traditional binding.
Response, Precision, and Power
"Without sacrificing response, precision, or power" — the Astra Step-On delivers the same all-mountain performance as Union's traditional strap bindings. The Step-On system is designed to be just as secure and responsive as strap bindings, with the added convenience of fast entry/exit. No compromise on all-mountain performance.
Women's-Specific Fit
"Women's all-mountain performance" — the Astra is Union's women's Step-On binding, designed with women's-specific fit and sizing. The binding is tuned for the way women ride, with appropriate flex, support, and boot compatibility for the women's market.
Union Quality
