The Youth Altamesa Shoes are cushioned and stable trail shoes for young adventurers, so they'll be prepared whether they're running on mountain trails or gravel paths.

Recycled Mesh Upper
Upper made with 100% recycled polyester mesh paired with 50% recycled TPU overlays for support and structure — breathable enough for warm hikes, tough enough for the trail.
Recycled Polyester Lining
Interior lined with 100% recycled polyester for next-to-skin comfort and moisture management — a soft, wicking layer that keeps feet drier through long days of play.
Recycled P.E.T. Rand
Durable 60% recycled P.E.T. rand wraps the lower upper to protect against trail debris, kicks, and stream crossings — extending the life of the shoe well past the first season.
Bungee Quick-Lace
Bungee quick-lace system with a cord lock lets kids put on and take off the shoes themselves — no tying required, no help needed at drop-off, no frustration at the trailhead.
Cushioned EVA Footbed
Die-cut EVA footbed with a 100% recycled P.E.T. top sheet cushions every step and can be removed to dry out after creek days or puddle-jumping adventures.
Single-Density EVA Midsole
Single-density EVA midsole delivers consistent cushioning and stability for trail runs, gravel paths, and the off-trail exploring that's part of every kid hike.
SURFACE CTRL™ Rubber Outsole
Durable SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole grips wet and dry surfaces alike, made with 34% recycled rubber for a tougher footprint on the trails little adventurers are already wearing down.

Cleaning
Remove loose dirt with a soft brush after every outing. Wash by hand with lukewarm water and a mild soap — for the inevitable mud-pie splatter, rinse the mesh upper under the tap and let it air dry. Avoid machine washing, which can damage the bungee cord lock and the EVA midsole.
Drying
Remove the EVA footbed, loosen the bungee quick-lace, and let the shoes air dry at room temperature. Avoid machine drying and direct heat, which can warp the EVA midsole and degrade the bungee elastic over time.
Between Adventures
Pull out the footbed overnight to let moisture evaporate — kids' feet run hot and the EVA midsole holds onto dampness longer than the mesh upper. A quick pull and shake-out goes a long way toward preventing odor.
Cord Lock Care
If the bungee cord lock starts to slip, open it and clear out any debris or grit that's caught in the mechanism. A drop of silicone spray on the spring keeps it snapping shut reliably.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place with the laces loosened and the tongue pulled forward so the upper keeps its shape. Avoid damp basements or muddy garages where the SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole can absorb moisture and develop mildew.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
